Area: [Interface and sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/interface.md)

**Definition.** Whether chats and threads persist, can be switched and resumed with their state intact, and can be rewound or reverted.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [Memory and state carried across sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/context.session_memory.md) for knowledge carried into a new session.

Rated author-weeks, all agents: 659. Complaint share: 71%.

## The brief

Written by Claude Opus 5.5 from 87 labelled posts and the numbers on this page. Interpretation, not measurement: every quote is verbatim and links to its post.

**Sessions still vanish on restart; Pi's branching tree shows the fix.**

TL;DR:

- Most complaints are about history that disappears after restarts, updates, crashes or logouts.
- Pi stands out because users can jump back, branch and label points in a session.
- OpenAI Codex and Google Antigravity draw the most reports of lost or scattered chats.

In plain terms: Expect to lose open sessions when the app restarts or updates. Expect to scroll to find old chats. Some agents now save sessions to disk and support checkpoints, and users notice and reward that.

### How it breaks

- **History disappears without warning** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). The top failure is chats that vanish from the sidebar after an update, crash or random glitch, with no recovery path offered.
Users describe chats removed from the list that new chats can still reference. Others report sessions lost when the power drops mid-run, and history wiped during client updates. Devin users list disappearing sessions alongside UI lockups. The most common request on this page asks vendors to fix missing or disappearing history, and OpenAI Codex and Google Antigravity users ask most often. One workaround users suggest is treating local sessions as disposable and backing them up.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Cursor, @cursor_ai, 2026-09-16: “does anyone else have issues with @cursor_ai swallowing up your chats? it will randomly disappear and get taken off my console. no where to be found, but sometimes can be referenced by new chats who search for it.” [source](https://twitter.com/999161771892948992/status/2100235111778111726)
 - Complaint, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-12: “i really like what @cognition is building with @devindesktop, but the client experience is really having some state, process management, and ux issues: -sessions disappearing and losing history (!!!) -the ui locking up to 3 *word* input lag -silent devin -p failures (1/3)” [source](https://twitter.com/928932212/status/2098854625323463157)
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-12: “my conversation disappears when electricity goes off (only when an agent is running), lots so much please fix, and another problem is i have open multiple conversations side by side, i sometimes accidentally click on a notification when agent finishes and that resets the layout of my multi-conversations opened” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wdrp1g/antigravity_20_release_v2130/p9a51iz/)
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/GoogleAntigravityIDE, 2026-08-31: “by chat history goes away i mean the chats don’t show up in the chat history at all. there might have been better options in which this might not be happening btw. it was just the case w me.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleAntigravityIDE/comments/1w33w7v/can_i_get_banned_for_using_3_separate_paid_google/p6yo8md/)

- **Restart drops the working set** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). Even when transcripts survive on disk, restarting the app loses open tabs, names and running sessions, so users rebuild their layout by hand.
Warp users manually hunt down a dozen-plus Claude sessions after a restart. Pi users track and restart sessions themselves after a reboot. Cline drops custom session names on relaunch. Cursor users want threads that stop disappearing daily. One Copilot user recovers sessions by searching for files in the session-state folder and asking the agent to resume by ID. The opposite gets praise: one Copilot post says sessions do not end when you quit the editor.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Warp, r/warpdotdev, 2026-09-13: “would be nice of warp to also bring back my 20 claude sessions. after restart, i need to manually find each of them, with some sharing paths” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/warpdotdev/comments/1wd585l/cant_afford_restart/p9i2k99/)
 - Complaint, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-09-22: “@pidotdev i love pi, but it's the tui that is mostly frustrating for me now. having to manually track and restart sessions after a reboot is tedious (herdr isn't reliable enough). inline annotations like plannotator. better way to organise/persist sessions (codex does this well).” [source](https://twitter.com/16863377/status/2102524016523419871)
 - Complaint, Cline, r/CLine, 2026-09-20: “i rename my cline sessions so i can easily recognize what i’ve already worked on. but every time i close cline and restart it, all my custom session names are replaced with the generic names again. is this a bug, or is there a setting i’m missing to make renamed sessions persist?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/CLine/comments/1wllf9t/why_does_every_time_i_restart_clinesession_names/)
 - Complaint, GitHub Copilot, r/GithubCopilot, 2026-09-04: “i've had issues with sessions disappearing during copilot updates, but the data in \~/.copilot/session-state remain. i just identify the right session guid with file search and tell copilot to resume the session with guid x and it sort of does.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1w75qev/copilot_losing_all_chat_sessions_when_reopening/p7sg69g/)

- **Finding old sessions means scrolling** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). Session pickers are scoped to one project or searchable only by title, so heavy users with hundreds of chats cannot find past conversations.
A Codex user with over a thousand sessions says old ones are hard to reach. An OpenCode user built a separate tool because the built-in picker only covers the current project and the list command has no search. Users across agents call history filtering needlessly complicated. When Kiro shipped session management, users called finding one session among many huge. Full-text search across sessions is a top request.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-03: “@dimillian its really hard to access old sessions, like i have 1k+ of them and pc is still needed to use codex app fully :c” [source](https://twitter.com/95874218/status/2095646781346361841)
 - Complaint, OpenCode, r/opencode, 2026-09-17: “like many of you i've got hundreds of opencode sessions spread across dozens of projects. the built-in picker is scoped to the current project, and \`session list\` doesn't search - so finding "that conversation about the threading bug three weeks ago" meant cd-ing around and scrolling. i built oos to fix that. it reads the local session database directly and searches every session from every project in one place: \- type keywords -> real-time filter across all projects \- up/down to pick, enter to resume the conversation \- multi-keyword and, \`!keyword\` to exclude \- best-match message from the full conversation history \- shows the project directory (auto-abbreviated) + timestamp go + bubbletea, single binary, no config, mit. demo gif: <strict_link> github: [<strict_link> disclosure: i built it with opencode itself, which felt appropriate. happy to hear what's missing.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wirwi2/oos_search_every_opencode_session_across_all/)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-27: “is this some new update? i'm still on the old ui. in the web app, they've also messed with a lot of things. the only good thing about it is that you can set now codex theme there, too. but yeah. what i don't get is why make it so complicated to see the full history and filter through the chats, whether in codex or web or mobile. and that's across all providers. that time when you used to be able to search only by fucking chat names in claude was the most useless search option ever.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wr57y7/new_ui_in_codex_is/pc9v61l/)
 - Praise, Kiro, @kirodotdev, 2026-09-22: “@poojagiri_8 @kirodotdev session management in kiro cli was overdue1000+ sessions and finally being able to find one is huge” [source](https://twitter.com/1675906158304038912/status/2102294972703621328)

- **Sessions trapped by login or version** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). History is tied to an account, machine or app version, so switching any of them strands past work.
Claude Code keeps sessions per login, so logging out clears the side panel, according to users. Google Antigravity users moving from the IDE to the 2.0 GUI see some projects appear and others go missing. OpenCode upgrades prompt users to migrate hundreds of sessions. A Codex user reports pairing trouble and current sessions that do not attach outside the app. Users end up writing summary files by hand to carry context across.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-17: “claude code keeps sessions per login, so logout/login usually wipes the side panel. people run two profiles or two machines instead of one seamless switch. not as clean as chatgpt yet.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wim9hl/how_to_actually_use_two_claude_code_accounts/pabtnfx/)
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-06: “so when ag upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0, they also released another 'ide' to update to, and it was great! but now i'm seeing some features in 2.0 that aren't in ide and i want to try them out in my projects, but i can't seem to find a way to flawlessly migrate from the ide to the 2.0 gui. some projects seem to appear (and i have no idea why) while others (the ones i've worked on lately) aren't there (2.0 gui). i might be stupid and there might be a way to have them in both at once, like them having a shared 'context' or 'chat log' folder, but i haven't been able to find it/able to do it. anyone has done this before? or it's better to make a summary md for each my most important chats and pass the torch along to 2.0 gui and be done with it?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1w8inm2/migrating_from_ide_to_20_gui/)
 - Complaint, OpenCode, r/opencode, 2026-09-21: “when installing new version, i noticed i have 300+ sessions to migrate.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wly8jp/if_your_free_usage_limit_doesnt_reset/pb3vs9m/)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-08-31: “huh. well first of all you can turn it on be default for all sessions. after that, i never seem to have any troubles like you describe. claude app on iphone. claude has a setting as well to keep your machine awake which is necessary. on phone now and i just checked and there are my three sessions across two machines. can’t say that i’ve had much luck with codex as i have had pairing problems and it doesn’t seem to like wsl and doesn’t automatically attach current sessions outside of the app. i also don’t run codex desktop on one of my dev machines and don’t plan to.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1w2txd6/remote_is_nuts/p6wihfg/)

- **Checkpoints and branching earn loyalty** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). When an agent supports stopping cleanly, rewinding or versioning conversations, users praise it right away, and bugs in that flow stand out.
Claude Code users call a graceful mid-edit stop the difference between a checkpoint and a half-written file. Google Antigravity gets credit for versioning conversations and code. Pi users build workflows on its session tree. Rough edges remain. Cline duplicates the session row when a user edits a message and restarts from that point. A Factory user asks for a real rollback path.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-26: “@claudedevs graceful stop mid-edit is the difference between a checkpoint and a half written scene file. underrated change” [source](https://twitter.com/2072421566290292736/status/2103887104522764500)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-11: “second best has been @antigravity which has the best user interface, best means of versioning conversations, code, and commenting on plans (agy > codex > grok >>>> claude). i guess claude dominates because it's kinda the best coder. but when it's so unpleasant to work with...” [source](https://twitter.com/131039372/status/2098340254545567892)
 - Complaint, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-24: “@cline sorry to bother you, in cline app windows, when you clic edit message and restart from this point, the chat session row get duplicated in the left sidebar. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1760047654027796481/status/2102995936842551647)
 - Complaint, Factory, @FactoryAI, 2026-09-17: “@factoryai the hard part isn't getting a coding agent into an ide. it's giving teams a rollback path when the agent's confidence outruns the test suite.” [source](https://twitter.com/4105028234/status/2100544632287305948)

### Who stands out

- **Pi (stronger)**. Pi's /tree lets users jump back to any turn, branch off and keep every branch as a durable record, and posts treat it as the reference design.
Users rebind keys to walk between branches stored in the session file. Others label the turns worth keeping and collapse the rest. One user missed /tree enough to rebuild it as a plugin for another agent. Complaints are about depth, not basics. Users want the tool manifest saved for exact replay, and they want sessions to survive reboots without manual restarts. Rewind with code restore is the request Pi users raise most.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-09-09: “@pidotdev's /tree is one of my favorite agent ux ideas: jump back to any point in the conversation, branch off, and carry a summary of what you tried. i missed it in bb, so i built it as a plugin: milestones you can fork back to. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/61139854/status/2097645607779226003)
 - Praise, Pi, r/PiCodingAgent, 2026-09-22: “what got me into it is that i’m a neovim hacker at heart and using all these tui’s for doing the majority of my work felt like a huge downgrade in terms of ux. i took a leaf out of magit’s book and set a key bind to be able to walk through the different branches, so you only ever look at the current branch, but the rest are still live in the jsonl as a durable record which you can just switch between with <leader>g/p” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wnf2nv/rethinking_the_humanagent_interface_with_pi/pbg4acw/)
 - Praise, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-09-02: “@pidotdev i scrolled a messy session tree for ten minutes looking for the good turn. tree-checkpoints.md now: shift+l to label the keepers, ctrl+l to collapse the noise. the tree only helps if you name the nodes.” [source](https://twitter.com/1888453273679740928/status/2095128046399353242)
 - Complaint, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-09-19: “@pidotdev dynamic tools plus resume need the exact tool manifest saved with the session. otherwise the same transcript can wake up with different capabilities and become impossible to replay.” [source](https://twitter.com/1588935512135720961/status/2101458311413739821)

- **OpenAI Codex (weaker)**. Codex gets praise for juggling many threads and for cross-device continuity, but users also report lost chats, unreachable old sessions and broken project grouping.
Fans say the desktop app handles multiple projects and threads well, and one user says it beats Claude on account scoping. The complaint side carries more weight. An update scattered project chats under Recents. Only one session stays alive on a Mac. Heavy users cannot reach old sessions without a PC. Requests center on fixing missing history and on folders for organizing sessions.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-08-31: “i returned from a nap just now to find an onboarding message and that it deleted all my project files and scattered all my project chats under “recents”. now i have to set up and reroute everything.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1w2z0tr/what_is_happening_to_codex_new_update_no_models/p6wg2cx/)
 - Praise, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-24: “been using claude desktop for code a lot recently and its gotten a lot better. but man does it suck if you are juggling multiple accounts. threads are scoped per account instead of per machine. also kicking off new threads from an existing thread is awkward and doesn't work via remote (chips instead of automatic). codex app wins on both these fronts pretty handedly. cc/ @lydiahallie @edwinarbus” [source](https://twitter.com/14358239/status/2103258409567158478)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-03: “for some reason, only one session is alive in the codex app on my mac, lol.” [source](https://twitter.com/1503705722504495104/status/2095531901725618667)
 - Praise, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-27: “codex solved continuity. honestly this is something else. i have all my files on cloud storage, so that surely helps but also my pc and my mac have completely different chats, but it was able to send requests to my mac’s on device chats through remote connect, and then what it’s going to do is wait for it to finish on my mac, to pick up the file on my pc via cloud storage, like i’ve never seen continuity work so fluidly and so low effort between 2 vastly different devices. it’s awesome.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wrf53f/codex_solved_continuity/)

- **Google Antigravity (weaker)**. Antigravity users report conversations lost to updates, power cuts and version migrations, though they like its conversation versioning and session references.
After an update, a running task gets replaced by a new chat and does not resume. Projects split unpredictably between the IDE and the 2.0 GUI. Praise centers on referencing other sessions directly and on locally stored chats that can recall messages verbatim. Users also ask most often for forking conversations.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-20: “this time, after update it starts a new chat while the task is still running, and the previous task doesn’t continue. 😑 @antigravity @google” [source](https://twitter.com/50703258/status/2101647254239011086)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-03: “because all the hype around cowork in my own bubble i decided to give at try. in case you're considering too new aware you cannot do this: \- refer to other sessions with @ \- refer to exact files with @ these, in my opinion are fundamental, and a i love them when using antigravity. i couldn't even believe you cannot do that on claude cowork. the suggestion is just to type file names by hand ... what a horror. if forced, it can look on its own database for past conversations but it is a hack.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1w6827l/in_case_youre_considering_moving_to_claude/)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-24: “yes it did, and now even after electricity goes off or other things happens the coversations stays still” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1we8c6m/lost_all_my_work_today_again/pbsgj4x/)

- **Claude Code (mixed)**. Claude Code wins credit for clean stops and resumable sessions, but users report sessions that hang on loading, then restart, and history lost on logout.
Posts praise sessions and tasks that can continue anywhere with reasoning intact, plus project grouping in the sidebar. Complaints describe sessions stuck loading for a long time and then showing as restarted. Users also ask for a proper handoff to a new session and for a visible retention setting with a recovery path. Preserving history across logout is a recurring request here.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-08-31: “shit! literal. get ready to have the sessions show loading, then 20mins later when you click on one, it says restarted session.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1v8lk76/herdr_cmux_tmux_are_they_really_that_helpful/p710v8r/)
 - Praise, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-26: “@claudedevs <strict_link> dont need to find stopping point. all your sessions and tasks can continue any time anywhere so a mid edit, ideas and reasonings all will be preserved 💪.” [source](https://twitter.com/1532245547561930752/status/2103676179563860368)
 - Complaint, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-07: “@mybuddyandrew i’ve had that too, it sucks. they need to fix it, or have sessions shut down nicely and provide a handoff to new session to resume better. @bcherny @claudedevs” [source](https://twitter.com/18573191/status/2096980529275126058)
 - Complaint, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-17: “@buburdin @claudedevs the safest workaround is to treat local sessions as disposable: export or back them up on a schedule, and keep durable decisions in repo docs rather than only chat history. a visible retention setting plus recovery path should be the default.” [source](https://twitter.com/1659147023910682625/status/2100472141124710600)

### Fine print

- Pi's lead rests on a smaller sample than Codex or Claude Code, and its posts lean toward enthusiasts.
- Most agents have too few posts here to rank, including Zed, Amp, Cline, Devin and GitHub Copilot.
- Many posts are replies on vendor accounts and may reflect launch-week reactions rather than long-term use.

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 287 author-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by Claude Sonnet 5 reads every counted post and extracts what the author asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. Claude Opus 5.5 groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes; code counts them. A theme counts distinct author-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one author-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 author-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different authors, without slurs, preferring posts of 60 to 450 characters, most recent first.

### 1. Fix missing or disappearing chat history

- OpenCode, 2026-09-20, @opencode (X): “@opencode the new web interface removed all my workspaces. anyway we can recover them?” [source](https://twitter.com/1201131290503843840/status/2101719817040335045)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-14, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@thsottiaux, @victornunez, @reach_vb — since the latest codex app update, my chat history keeps rolling back, and recent messages disappear. the messages are still in the session logs, but neither the app nor the cli can load or index them correctly. could you help please?” [source](https://twitter.com/1107655735268249603/status/2099515528754671875)

### 2. Full-text search across past sessions

- OpenCode, 2026-09-27, r/opencode (Reddit): “a 100% agree on this post. absolute easiest and best option now: <strict_link> until opencode actually implement their own searchfunction directly in the app. - this runs alongside your opencode, won't touch any of the .db files (strictly read only) - exact word phrases either from your messages and/or agents. - near instant search. i use it all the time when i need to find something in 100s of opencode sessions. my opencode is 3gb as of now....” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wrl0ba/opencode_desktop_desperately_needs_a_better_search/pcddwxl/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/codex (Reddit): “agreed. not great and wasn't needed. same with the change to the app were now we need 2-3 more clicks to find chats within unpinned projects. they need to test those changes more before publishing...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wqiu3o/new_interface_change_the_bar_on_the_side_is_just/pc4t8ke/)

### 3. Persist sessions across app restarts

- Zed, 2026-09-25, @zeddotdev (X): “every claude code session i had resumes when i reopen orca after closing it. when i was using zed the claude code sessions did not resume even though the tabs resumed. i much prefer the speed of the terminal in zed over orca. honestly a simple terminal manager using the zed technologies would go a long way for me. add a folder for an ssh client and have that auto connect also.” [source](https://twitter.com/1559581716489969664/status/2103324253546529111)

- Pi, 2026-09-22, @pidotdev (X): “@pidotdev i love pi, but it's the tui that is mostly frustrating for me now. having to manually track and restart sessions after a reboot is tedious (herdr isn't reliable enough). inline annotations like plannotator. better way to organise/persist sessions (codex does this well).” [source](https://twitter.com/16863377/status/2102524016523419871)

### 4. Rewind to checkpoint with code restore

- Pi, 2026-09-26, @pidotdev (X): “@pidotdev @pidotdev the ability to undo your code changes / updates when you move back with the /timeline feature pls 😃” [source](https://twitter.com/1579853783290580993/status/2103793570155237673)

- Pi, 2026-09-23, @pidotdev (X): “i can't believe no major harness has adopted `/tree` from @pidotdev. some have forks, but man i miss `/tree` so much in codex and @chatgpt. i wish each message had a "rollback" button, which would summarize the tail of the chat up to the selected message.” [source](https://twitter.com/15790969/status/2102812042272874506)

### 5. Shared sessions across CLI, desktop and mobile

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@theo i’d like to be able to access my codex chat history. for example, sessions created through codex cli can appear in the chatgpt desktop app, which helps avoid losing valuable work sessions.” [source](https://twitter.com/1435527379053645824/status/2103437443475059139)

- Cursor, 2026-09-23, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai @cursor_ai love the cli! could you improve --resume to match ide's composer.resumecurrentchat? when a run halts or errors, it'd be amazing if it could seamlessly continue the same chat stream right where it left off.” [source](https://twitter.com/1485498305660395520/status/2102830270315737322)

### 6. Organize sessions into projects and folders

### 7. Delete conversations and sessions

### 8. Import chat history from other tools

### 9. Fork or branch conversations

- Claude Code, 2026-09-24, r/cursor (Reddit): “for me, it has a good ui with an ok harness. for sure, claude code is more token-efficient, and the models themselves are rl'd to use it. but when you try to fork a conversation there from a few messages back without rolling back the code, it's just painful.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1wouluc/why_do_you_use_cursor_instead_of_chagpt_or_claude/pbq7vli/)
- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-23, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “great update. the only thing missing for me is a fork or clone feature in antigravity 2, really hoping to see that soon as well.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wnqoya/antigravity_2_release_v2160/pbi7x7g/)

### 10. Move chats between projects

- Cursor, 2026-09-11, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai once again released a half ars baked feature, projects. 1. you can't add a project if the repo does not have git init in it. 2. you can't move a chat to a project :). i feel like cursor employees need a little bit of knowledge about product building and qa. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/2874077269/status/2098522950051791208)
- Cursor, 2026-09-11, @cursor_ai (X): “an immediate reaction to trying @cursor_ai projects: you can't connect to existing local chats so you basically start over... not a great onboarding experience :( <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/394369752/status/2098303413117497377)
- Cursor, 2026-09-11, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai @bot did you guys test that feature? ever tried to create couple of projects and work with them? (spoiler: they disappear from the tree, it seems one replaces another) why can't i pick my own self-hosted agent? why can't i just drag and drop existing chat?” [source](https://twitter.com/1338761369076682752/status/2098251841964536218)

### 11. Preserve history across logout and account switch

- Claude Code, 2026-09-24, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs codex gibi yerel oturumlar hesaplar arasında geçiş yapıldığında kalıcı olsaydı gpt aboneliğimi kapatıp sadece claude kullanırdım...” [source](https://twitter.com/2090888047789318144/status/2103024909828169973)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-17, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “claude code keeps sessions per login, so logout/login usually wipes the side panel. people run two profiles or two machines instead of one seamless switch. not as clean as chatgpt yet.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wim9hl/how_to_actually_use_two_claude_code_accounts/pabtnfx/)
- Amp, 2026-09-17, @AmpCode (X): “@ampcode do you support transferring threads from one account to another? :d” [source](https://twitter.com/129354616/status/2100637309146198022)

### 12. Export session transcripts

- OpenCode, 2026-09-23, @opencode (X): “whoever came up with the idea in the new @opencode v2 that exporting a session transcript should neither allow renaming the file nor choosing where to save it must have been hallucinating. it's a clear step backward from the previous version.” [source](https://twitter.com/1792274687474733056/status/2102689072670249145)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-18, @opencode (X): “@opencode since i plan to use it for a long time, it would be helpful if you could allow exporting chat logs by date.” [source](https://twitter.com/1456128631382495232/status/2100992948418826715)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-02, @opencode (X): “i'm quite fed up that @opencode treats sessions like disposable trash. every little while they break due to provider issues and you can no longer recover them. they are also not easy to export, save, take with you to the repository, and use on another device. the session is part of the project and should be another file to save in my repo. @thdxr” [source](https://twitter.com/2094508614731943936/status/2095171218630451259)

### Pi

- Praise, 2026-09-23, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “pi session tree structure is great feature. you should explore it, i recommand it [huang-sh/pix: a non-linear ai agent workbench — session is a tree: branch anytime, and context follows the branch](<strict_link>)” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wmdwoc/hello_i_need_your_help/pbkk1go/)

- Praise, 2026-09-22, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “i have an extension i couldn't live without now that allows my agents to navigate to any location in their session. it started off by allowing them to rewind to an earlier point in the conversation, which would usually be on the same branch, but at this point they can navigate to any point in the session, along with a message. think /tree but agent-controlled. it's a bit like passing control to any point in the tree and continuing there. i'm hopi” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wml882/what_extensions_do_you_think_are_essential_and/pba4c4q/)

- Praise, 2026-09-26, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “ngl, i switched from terminal to the desktop version and like legit, been very happy with it. i used terminal for a long ass time but multiple sessions and projects running etc, it became hard to manage it all. the desktop version made it so much simpler idk ymmv” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wovn0s/claude_code_integration_with_iterm2_is/pc65m4u/)
- Complaint, 2026-09-27, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “desktop has better integration with visualization tools if you need to render diagrams and graphs while working. it’s tabs also makes it very easy to move around and track what sessions are still working if you’re ssh into multiple machines. the only downside is there’s no way (that i know of) to achieve the effect of using screen or whatever tool you like that keeps the terminal session open on the remote when you break the tunnel. makes working” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wrhtyd/new_to_claude_why_should_we_use_claude_code_over/pccn27z/)

### OpenAI Codex

### Zed

- Praise, 2026-09-20, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev 's delta is quickly become my favorite harness. the conversation log revolution is so good. everyone needs to try. but claude sub is not support, only chatgpt sub works.” [source](https://twitter.com/994916559159095296/status/2101694667356295192)

### Devin

- Praise, 2026-09-18, @cognition (X): “i tried @cognition's @devinai desktop harness awhile ago and found it to be confusing... i tried devin's cloud harness today and am honestly shocked at how good it is. i'm really enjoying the way it handles live progress in the sidebar and access to prior devin sessions is a gamechanger for how i like to throw my harness at prior sessions for context. i find it's model selection ui to be great as well. very simple to understand and the fusion pat” [source](https://twitter.com/749067617198075904/status/2101054914906791967)
