# How much use a plan's price buys (`limits.plan_value`)

Feedback Bench, coding agents, built 2026-10-01, window 2026-08-31 to 2026-09-27. Web page: https://feedbackbench.com/#/criterion/limits.plan_value

Area: [Paying and limits](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/paying.md)

**Definition.** Whether a plan's weekly or monthly allowance covers the user's normal work, and how its price compares with other plans or agents for the use it gives. Covers running out days early, never hitting the cap, missing tiers and value per dollar.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [Short rolling usage window blocks or interrupts work](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.window_interrupts_work.md) when the short multi-hour window blocks work. Not this: see [Single prompt, model or effort level consumes disproportionate quota](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.burn_rate.md) when one prompt, model or effort level drained the quota. Not this: see [Price, allowance or plan terms changed](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.allowance_change.md) when price or allowance changed over time. Not this: see [Pricing and plan terms stated clearly and consistently](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/billing.pricing_clarity.md) when the information itself is unclear.

## The brief

Written by Claude Opus 5.5 from 110 labelled posts and the numbers on this page. Interpretation, not measurement: every quote is verbatim and links to its post.

**Cheap stacks win on value while flagship plans run dry.**

TL;DR:

- Codex and Claude Code draw the most complaints, with top plans that run out days before reset.
- OpenCode, Devin and Antigravity win on value per dollar, often through low prices, promos or bundles.
- Users mostly ask for higher limits, then for plan tiers that do not exist yet.

In plain terms: On the big two, paying more does not guarantee a full week of work. Users hit the wall days early. Many respond by stacking cheap subscriptions or moving to low-cost harnesses, trading convenience for usage.

### How it breaks

- **Top plans run dry mid-week** ([How much use a plan's price buys](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.plan_value.md)). Paying for the top plan does not buy a full week for many heavy users, who hit caps days before reset.
Posts across Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and Google Antigravity describe the same arc. The allowance is gone in two or three days, then the user waits or pays again. Some Claude Code users doubt a light week still exists. Cursor users upgrade a tier hoping it lasts. The complaint is not price alone. It is paying a premium and losing access before the period ends.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-17: “100% agree. it does not feel right to pay 200€ for a monthly service and not being able to use it 3 days later.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wioij7/feeling_scammed_on_the_200_pro_plan_since_astra/pad0r5x/)
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-21: “os: windows 10 quota: reached my weekly quota in two days, 5 hour limit hits in 1 hour (sub-agents finishes way quick because they searched for files from start/fresh, same for /boost command) - should add a way for sub-agents to refer files searched by the manager agent bugs: the layout of chats resets when press on windows notification or switch between chats” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wm7g5r/weekly_quotas_known_issues_support_september_21/pb5fqyc/)
 - Complaint, Cursor, r/cursor, 2026-09-11: “very insightful. thanks. i hit my limit on the $100 a few days before reset, so hoping the $200 gives me more usage.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1wd05nu/cursor_200_or_claude_200_plan/p94rigo/)
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-15: “great concept, but do people actually have "light weeks" with claude code anymore?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wgwalq/free_opensource_platform_for_helping_each_other/p9xqq4p/)

- **Stacking cheap subs beats one plan** ([How much use a plan's price buys](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.plan_value.md)). Value-minded users split spend across several entry plans and low-cost harnesses, and say the combination yields more total usage than a single flagship subscription.
The pattern repeats. One post says a handful of entry-level plans delivers more usage than a top Codex plan. Others pair a premium model for planning with cheap open models for bulk work. The cost is overhead: multiple accounts, multiple quotas, constant switching. One Copilot user notes that workflow churn carries its own price. Users accept it because single plans feel like poor value at the ceiling.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-08-31: “@noemititarenco $20 @cursor_ai plan + $10 @commandcodeai goat plan + $10 @opencode plan + $10 topup api of @deepseek_ai under @pidotdev harness for me this is the best deal ever” [source](https://twitter.com/1605880522927968257/status/2094322472250171619)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-26: “honestly... i feel that the reset at claude is same or little less than gpt (i compare both 20$ plans). but there is a catch... claude does shit ton a lot more than gpt does in same time... i am currently using it with 20$ sub for planning and oss models like glm 5.3 flash so i got opus 5.5 x glm for a combo which is absurdally good. currently i will keep 20$ gpt, 20$ claude and my ollama cloud grandfathered plan for 20$ so i got 60$ but got more usage than 200$ plans from codex...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wqbnpj/we_are_back/pc6edml/)
 - Praise, GitHub Copilot, r/codex, 2026-09-25: “for this price i’ll keep github copilot and pay for extra tokens when needed. right now i’m floating between all three. but going to standardize on one. subs are still a little better value but since they keep nerfing usage api rates are getting better. at some point workflow dissonance has a real cost impact. at least when that happens i can use opus 5.5 and luna max without changing my workflow again and again. maximize the smarts and the cost efficiency.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wppkog/new_tibo_tweet_about_devday/pbzgwon/)
 - Praise, Pi, r/PiCodingAgent, 2026-09-10: “just try a month of plus and see how much luna you get compared to your go subscription. i don't have the numbers, but it's a lot. like, you can burn a ton of tokens with luna and barely move the (opaque) percentage counter. plus, you can use sol/astra for occasional planning/consultation tasks when you need a little more oomph. i have plus and go, and am satisfied with the combo.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wcj9bg/who_uses_pi_what_do_you_like_about_it/p908haw/)

- **Missing tiers above and between** ([How much use a plan's price buys](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.plan_value.md)). Users want plans that do not exist yet, both a step between entry and top tiers and a step above the current maximum.
Codex users ask for a mid-priced plan and for something beyond the top plan, instead of buying two subscriptions. Freelancers argue a single-user premium tier would beat API billing. Cline and Devin users ask for higher tiers or a plan priced for ordinary individuals. When the ladder has gaps, users either overpay for headroom they never use or underbuy and hit the cap.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-20: “with the current usage limits i could not push the 20x (even if they do bring it back) but yeah $100 codex + $100 over $200 codex” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wkxtpq/100_claude_max_100_codex_or_200_claude_max/paxklnt/)
 - Praise, OpenCode, r/codex, 2026-09-25: “i hope you now feel strong and good after that comment. there are very different kinds of solo users. someone using chatgpt a few times a day is not the same customer as a freelance developer who spends their whole workday in codex and can turn extra usage into saved time or billable work. the current alternate products are direct api billing (much more expensive) and the $200 plan with resets (inconvenient). these subscriptions aren’t meant (or allowed according to tos) to be shared anyway, so the $500 tier would still be a plan for one user, not some "ai for the whole office" replacement for business/enterprise subscriptions (which are not an option for solo users anyway). people are buying $10k+ setups to save on ai costs by running local models that still perform worse than the $10/month chinese models on opencode.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wpq44p/openai_prepares_new_500_per_month_pro_max_plan/pbz3epi/)
 - Complaint, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-14: “@cline great but do you think the clinepass sub is sufficient for that? is there a plan for higher tiers?” [source](https://twitter.com/1708333146154950656/status/2099547907808453038)
 - Complaint, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-17: “lol @devindesktop @cognition @scottwu46 nice try but you need a plan for normal people or it will not work. maybe make a devin @deepseek_ai version or so - but this is not sustainable für einen normalsterblichen. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/19308238/status/2100474207989555610)

- **Promos and bundles carry the value** ([How much use a plan's price buys](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.plan_value.md), [Price, allowance or plan terms changed](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/limits.allowance_change.md)). Much of the praise attaches to discounts, free model windows and bundles, which makes value feel strong now and fragile later.
Devin praise centers on a free in-house model on its entry plan for a limited window. Google Antigravity users credit storage bundles and long discounted offers. Cursor fans cite a steep annual deal. Some users see usage drawn down when they expected the promo to cover it, and one Cline user predicts the price advantage will not last.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Cursor, @cursor_ai, 2026-09-24: “except for super @grok heavy + @cursor_ai ultra 1 yr sub to both for 67% off that was a historic opportunity <strict_link> <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1756394384655003648/status/2103175923835265255)
 - Complaint, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-10: “@cognition been testing, and have posted some results on my x. but for some reason my usage is getting used up. i thought it was free on the pro sub?” [source](https://twitter.com/1999316901584076802/status/2098174546134417521)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-08: “yes it get the job done and also quite cheap, i got an offer for 18 month pro for 10 bucks. gemini 3.8 feel like opus 4.6, if you can vibe code 6 month ago with opus 4.6 then antigravity is fine.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1w9opew/antigravity_setup_for_software_engineering_are/p8k02tb/)
 - Praise, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-16: “@cline the cost arbitrage on this won't last long - someone's going to price it even lower and suddenly everyone's switching again. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1968140308438482944/status/2100329163953762771)

### Who stands out

- **OpenCode (stronger)**. OpenCode wins on raw tokens per dollar, and users treat its low-priced Go plan as the value benchmark that other plans get measured against.
Posts describe low monthly spend sustaining very large token volumes and shipping real projects. Users call the cost peanuts next to rivals, and Cline users compare their own plan against OpenCode Go. The weak spot is capacity. Complaints target tight rate limits and unreliable compute rather than price, and some users still ask for an even cheaper entry tier.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, OpenCode, r/opencode, 2026-09-07: “honestly, i spent $70 last two months, used up 3.5 billion tokens last time i checked. got a project built that my organization needs. so i'm not complaining.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1w94ip9/how_is_the_rate_limit_on_deepseek_4_flash/p89wlfj/)
 - Praise, OpenCode, @opencode, 2026-09-10: “[not sponsored] today i purchased opencode go , honestly loving it using deepseek 4.1 flash (high) on @opencode to improve my game and fix some bugs! literally loving the speed dude! & the cost is phenomenally low, its peanuts in comparison to others <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1401539890282565637/status/2098154895060959267)
 - Praise, OpenCode, @opencode, 2026-09-27: “for most people, @opencode go subscription using muse-spark-1.3-contributor is the best value thing out there.” [source](https://twitter.com/1864270761034436611/status/2104255901163200954)
 - Complaint, OpenCode, @opencode, 2026-09-05: “@opencode all awful limits. the fact you guys can't grab hold of reliable compute just shows how sad the current market is. keep it up” [source](https://twitter.com/944978898927964161/status/2096068099493490851)

- **Devin (stronger)**. Devin's entry plan earns top-tier praise, largely because a free model and a fusion mode stretch usage further than rival plans.
Users rank it the best entry-level plan, citing free access to its in-house model and cheaper frontier orchestration through fusion mode. Much of that is time-limited. Complaints say it feels pricey and lacks a plan for ordinary individuals. A mid-priced tier is the change Devin users request most.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Devin, @DevinAI, 2026-09-14: “fixed it. @devinai is s+ tier for 20$ plans. its got free usage of swe-2 currently and got all the models you need in a single plan with better usage and also includes the fusion model for cheaper frontier model orchestration. <strict_link> <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1878743506094895104/status/2099350070344945751)
 - Praise, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-13: “any ai platform must give free unlimited access to really get into vibe coding. there's only one way: get a $20 plan on cognition / windsurf. @devindesktop @dabit3 @cognition the free swe 2 and glm 5.2 unhinged limitless itself makes it so dreamy. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1758760791178633216/status/2099172032022008269)
 - Complaint, Devin, @DevinAI, 2026-09-07: “@markfenner @devinai devin seems pricey...and i can't seem to trust it for full app development.” [source](https://twitter.com/1861621547850469376/status/2097103816814419988)

- **Google Antigravity (stronger)**. Google Antigravity sells on cost, with users accepting a less capable model because the price, often bundled with storage, is low.
Users say its model does most of the work at a fraction of the cost, and pair it with a stronger model for planning. Many arrived through a storage bundle and treat the agent as a free add-on. The flip side is a weekly quota gone in days, and limits some users rate below cheap API credits elsewhere.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-23: “@pigeon__s @antigravity because not everyone wants to pay an arm and a leg to get basic work done..3.8 does 99% of the work at 1/10th the cost. is that hard for you to understand?” [source](https://twitter.com/2101891688285556736/status/2102595393465000429)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-23: “@pigeon__s @antigravity i was already subscribed to google one 5tb, and so i got gemini and antigravity, and the price actually dropped a bit for me. you can think of it as paying for cloud storage and getting free ai or paying for ai and getting free cloud storage. also am getting gcp credits from it.” [source](https://twitter.com/432486005/status/2102609715230539936)
 - Praise, Google Antigravity, r/GoogleAntigravityIDE, 2026-09-21: “yeah it needs a lot of guidance. but its cheap enough then others. i generate a very detailed plan using claude and then make gemini 3.8 to follow it.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleAntigravityIDE/comments/1wl9m6u/my_rules_for_ag/pb7butn/)
 - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-15: “yep, same. tbh 5$ credits on deepseek is much more usage limit for months than current google. idk what they did.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wgw8gb/antigravity_speed_today_is/p9y7kng/)

- **OpenAI Codex (weaker)**. OpenAI Codex splits users. Heavy users call the top plan a subsidy, while others say it runs out early and push for a bigger tier.
Praise comes from heavy users who compare their usage against API list prices and see a steep discount. Complaints come from users who cannot make the top plan last, or who feel a rival's entry plan matches it. Codex leads every agent in requests for a tier above its current top plan.
 Evidence:
 - Praise, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-07: “i’m on pro and i’m using a few hundred million tokens per day. using the api price of astra output tokens, which is cheaper than input, 300 million would be $3000 per day. i’m paying $200 per month for that” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1w9eroa/would_you_rather_get_5000_of_api_tokens_or_a_pro/p8ae4j9/)
 - Praise, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-07: “my experience is that it’s also dramatically faster than sol, so there’s a lot of time saved, the mental churn switching between running tasks is reduced, and there are fewer issues around running parallel tasks that tend to crop up (ci, cpu, memory) when you have a bunch going on at once. i’m happy to burn a bit more credit, esp since my $200 pro plan is usually slightly more than i need.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1w9ui87/i_estimate_astra_will_increase_my_monthly_openai/p8d5hpy/)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-27: “yeah do that , meanwhile we have opus 5.5, 20buck plan give me almost the same as the 200bucket astra. suicidal move.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wr27ai/is_the_200_plan_not_20x_anymore/pcdjeaf/)
 - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-24: “i just bought 5x today, gonna be testing. gpt 6 luna and sol feel ridiculously stupid as of late (but that might be because of the nature of my recent tasks), and astra is way to expensive to be a daily driver. hope the 5.5’s greatness is here to stay for at least a couple of months, because the chaos with changing claude’s quality, nerfing and it ignoring my workflow rules was what drove me away from it in the first place” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wp3bzl/you_need_to_try_opus_55/pbsbsse/)

- **Claude Code (weaker)**. Claude Code users increasingly question the value, citing limits that push them to rivals and uneven usage from the same plan.
Some users leave for Codex over limits and model quality. Others report getting very different value from the same top plan and want to know why. Some call frontier models too expensive to use at all. A minority never hits limits and credits disciplined context management, which shows the cap is workable but demands effort.
 Evidence:
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-02: “poor opus (and the rate limits) made me switch to gpt last week and i can’t believe what i was missing… their product are also much better now than claude’s ecosystem. if anthropic ever comes back atop, i come back again. for now, farewell” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1w4jsjt/this_should_not_be_an_exclusive_and_super_premium/p7grsqy/)
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-27: “i never managed 4k$ per week on the 20x. always been 2k$ for me. i really wonder why not everyone get the same” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wrm570/did_max_20x_weekly_limits_just_get_cut_in_half/pcdlb9q/)
 - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-18: “it means those two models are too expensive for the common man, so put them out of your mind, just don’t use them” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wk4tzr/codex_usage_is_horrible/paobjqb/)
 - Praise, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-03: “my code base is huge af and i never hit usage. i use a framework and have a bunch of skills describing it. i also have a decade of coding experience so that probably helps.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1w5oy5d/just_used_the_new_lowpriority_feature_and_my/p7k4mfe/)

### Fine print

- Much praise for Devin and Google Antigravity rests on time-limited promos and bundles, so their standing may shift when offers end.
- Model names, prices and token figures appear as users report them and are not verified.
- Codex and Claude Code have far larger samples, so heavy-user complaints about top tiers weigh more there.

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 1170 author-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by Claude Sonnet 5 reads every counted post and extracts what the author asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. Claude Opus 5.5 groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes; code counts them. A theme counts distinct author-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one author-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 author-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different authors, without slurs, preferring posts of 60 to 450 characters, most recent first.

- Claude Code, 2026-09-26, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “im not telling its not good, it is great, but you dont have the limits to run it as a normal work process, hence my ferrari analogy, ferrari is a great car, but you need to have a lot of fuel available to make it work.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wo0jek/mixed_feelings_0_work_done_but_main_context_is_ok/pc65b6w/)

### 2. Higher-priced tier above current top plan

- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@_ak_111 bulshit! this is the banked reset even. stop sharing trash please, this is max. @anthropicai @claudedevs @claudeai we need more please. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1994924372906381312/status/2104147800418394350)

### 4. Mid-priced tier between existing plans

- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, @ClaudeDevs (X): “claude should launch a plan between $20 and $100. hey @claudeai @claudedevs, launch a $50 plan with 2.5x usage.” [source](https://twitter.com/1945350074839785472/status/2104151542865781213)

### 5. Higher allowance on entry and mid plans

- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-27, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “what’s the point.. the pro plan gives so little i can’t ever do anything with it anyways.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wmmzit/top_10_antigravity_skill_repos/pccs1up/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/codex (Reddit): “don't mind the merge but please increase our limits before x5 was plentiful now it sucks as an intermediary user and while i'm not desperate enough for x20 despite it being currently unavailable chat does help quite a bit” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wqq47g/did_openai_just_split_the_same_usage_allowance/pc7ycca/)
- Factory, 2026-09-26, @FactoryAI (X): “@droid @factoryai claude's 20 dolar plan usage limits very very big but droid 20 dolar usage limits worse than gpt 20 dolar plan, its real. im sorry” [source](https://twitter.com/1896160400716267520/status/2103951569800630604)

### 6. Cheaper model pricing

- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “so how about the limits on say a lesser model? i use luna on codex and it can last forever. does claude having anything comparable to that. i don’t need latest greatest model.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wrno9o/question_about_5_hour_limits/pcfkuqw/)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs lower token costs could make long running claude code workflows much more practical and accessible for developers.” [source](https://twitter.com/2086037637413167104/status/2104230995952333007)

### 7. Weekly allowance that lasts the full week

- OpenCode, 2026-09-27, r/opencode (Reddit): “<strict_link> this is my first time with the go sub. it's 10 dollars and i normally use aanti gravity so i wasn't expecting much. but how can you tell me my weekly usage is going to be 76% percent of my montly when it's maxed out. again i'm not complaining about the $10.00 and usage that's fine it's only 10 youre paying but the qutas should be looked at.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wra3eg/usage_broken_or_what/)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “i’m still running out early before my weekly reset. not much but by about 2-3 hours. if i can get that extra few hours, it’d be perfect.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wrpq38/any_idea_what_anthropic_figured_out/pcen5s5/)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-25, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs can you also boost weekly limit by 20%? i could't even max 5h limit on max20x but weekly is bit scaring me... , i think all we need now is slightly better weekly limits” [source](https://twitter.com/1651193123450626048/status/2103557383712608510)

### 8. More usage per dollar paid

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-27, r/codex (Reddit): “i was using exclusively opus 5 until 5.5 dropped, and exclusively 5.5 since then. when using 5, i would cane it as hard as i could on max and struggle to use my weekly allowance on the $20 plan. conversely, just breathing on the $100 codex plan evaporates the weekly usage in an instant. openai are absolutely f-ing us.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wpq44p/openai_prepares_new_500_per_month_pro_max_plan/pcedj74/)
- Factory, 2026-09-27, @droid (X): “@droid if you could give me a really great subscription package, i'd give it a try, and if it's good, i think i'll keep subscribing ❤️” [source](https://twitter.com/1159835302275346433/status/2104163657097859177)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, r/codex (Reddit): “i still ran out in 2 days with xhigh… ive used codex since release and between the terrible usage rates and the new $500 plan i’m done. this will be my last month and i’m going to claude. when codex released the fucking $20 plan gives more then the $200 plan does and now they have the nerve to release a $500 plan after nerfing the $200 plan and saying they don’t have enough compute? i’m so done with openai.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wpspww/gpt6_astra_seems_unusable_due_to_token_burn_gpt6/pc0f0yw/)

### 9. Higher limits for specific models

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-27, r/codex (Reddit): “o k nota big deal to me anyway.. just fix it so 5.6sol usage goes farther and i will be satisfied” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wrn697/new_openai_product_o_but_not_for_plus_users/pceaoni/)
- Cursor, 2026-09-27, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai i advise giving more usage to own models, grok and composer. the agents keep getting more expensive while the usage-limit seems to stay the same. this will be noticed by others too. i encourage reflecting on this decision while watching the anthropic opus 5.5 release.” [source](https://twitter.com/2079285036633759744/status/2104339054804472300)

### 10. Lower subscription prices

- OpenCode, 2026-09-26, r/opencode (Reddit): “title. i don’t care if you get all of my data, my ghetto ass source code, and my prompts if you let me use it for dirt cheap. peace” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wqfj7j/will_there_always_be_the_contributor_models/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, r/codex (Reddit): “at this point we need gpt galaxy 7 at 90% cost reduction for the value proposition to get close to what anthropic is offering.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wq2efs/from_love_to_meh_about_to_cancel_all_3_20x_subs/pc0orbh/)

### 11. Unlimited usage plan

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “will claude ever do unlimited chats like chatgpt does? i love chatting with claude problem is how i keep running into usage limits. in chatgpt codex and normal chatgpt are different. the chat is essentially unlimited. so i can get so much work done. will claude ever bring that feature in? or would they need more infrastructure?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wqbze9/will_claude_ever_do_unlimited_chats_like_chatgpt/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/codex (Reddit): “$500 unlimited plan for luna agents and access to quantized models. newsst models have limits. hidden quota limits get chopped in half again.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wqoxyz/dev_day_predictions/pc671c7/)

### 12. Cheaper low-cost plan tier

- OpenCode, 2026-09-25, r/opencode (Reddit): “same. or even a $19 plan so that it can still be clearly cheaper than everyone else.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1won5aj/they_are_ragebaiting_us/pc1mx4y/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, r/codex (Reddit): “i don’t care for the downvotes. more compute needed to run a model needs higher prices for said model to be used through the week. it isn’t a charity. been hoping for a <phone_number> dollar plan.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wpfoxh/the_downhill_begins/pbvstm6/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-22, r/codex (Reddit): “i’ll take cheaper. the main thing they can deliver now is a cheaper/lower usage astra. i find astra so much better than sol i’m a little low on use cases for sol, esp when i have a parallel claude account.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wnhmfd/basically_its_just_cheaper_solluna6_even_has/pbfinrg/)

### OpenCode

- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/opencodeCLI (Reddit): “it is. i just noticed i failed to completely use up last month's $10 opencode go sub.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencodeCLI/comments/1wpzekf/operation_cheepseek_phase_2/pcaklzp/)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/opencodeCLI (Reddit): “opencode go is their $10 subscription plan for use inside the opencode cli. your $10 of payment get you what you would get for $60 at full api pricing, so 6x factor. i would be afraid of quantized models running in stupid mode with it. see other comments asking the same thing. by comparison, i think a chatgpt sub gets you roughly 20x multiplier (your $20 subscription lets you spend $400 of api value), but not sure how that changes in the past wee” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencodeCLI/comments/1wpzekf/operation_cheepseek_phase_2/pcarwqn/)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/opencodeCLI (Reddit): “i’ve been using deepseek v4.1 flash for two and a half weeks now and it has been performing really well, and i’ve only used 18.3% of my limit. totally worth it.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencodeCLI/comments/1wr9f75/is_opencode_go_subscription_good_or_not_call_it/pcb6sqc/)

### Devin

- Praise, 2026-09-27, @cognition (X): “been 96 hours. @cognition @devindesktop i've never seen a harness as good as this. they don't even have the /goal, but their execution surpass any harness with /goal on the market. it's f*cking mind blowing. 20$, unlimited swe 2 you should definitely give it a shot <strict_link> <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1825243355501973504/status/2104016524725952607)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, @cognition (X): “i feel with only devin & swe-2 max, we can afford to go full in without worrying a bit about the token limits and off-course if you know what you are doing then swe-2 max is all you will ever need. having a great experience with @devinai & huge congratulations to @cognition for crossing $1b in annualized revenue.” [source](https://twitter.com/1930924040346071040/status/2104064758563627243)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, @cognition (X): “actually i don't even have a subcription on devin. 🥲😂 after subbing to openai and anthropic, nothing left for a devin subscription. but from what i heard the limits are much higher, because you can use fusion mode, combining 2 models, one to lead and one to work. so opus 5.5 with @cognition swe-2 model on fusion is a great pair. think that the swe-2 is free unlimited on any type of subscription until 9 octomber or something.” [source](https://twitter.com/2097323326993465344/status/2104171517353267560)
- Complaint, 2026-09-27, @DevinAI (X): “i agree—it’s still language models with a tool-use loop, not human reasoning. that’s why the max plan itself doesn’t solve anything. what matters is the surrounding system: tests, linters, a narrowly defined spec, and a stop condition for when the agent starts hallucinating. without that, 39 windows are just expensive noise” [source](https://twitter.com/1534502700318183425/status/2104152939199615135)

### Google Antigravity

- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “on their flash models yes, you can also get unlimited use on gpt 6 luna, for example. we will see what happens when they drop gemini 4.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wrn9q5/codex_has_ultra_thinking_level_claude_code_has/pcezoee/)

- Complaint, 2026-09-27, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “$20 is fine if you babysit every task manually. but go agentic? 💀 that $20 disappears faster than your motivation on monday. a 5-hour task becomes 20–40 minutes… if the agents survive that long. 😂” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wpvvsr/why_does_antigravity_not_update_its_offerings_for/pca8ui9/)

- Praise, 2026-09-24, @pidotdev (X): “building a whole world for my agents. imagine building an agentic company entirely in-game. that’s the “dream”. the agents are running on @pidotdev and @typesafeai for decisions. opus 5.5 has been using blender and unreal engine for over 24h and still hasn’t reached usage limits. also: i have no idea what i’m doing.” [source](https://twitter.com/1331891475383201793/status/2103140431747854640)

### GitHub Copilot

- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “i just found i have access to gpt 6 luna with copilot pro... i'm reading good things about luna. is it maybe what i am looking for? is it close to sonnet 5? it's quite cheap... cheaper and stronger than gpt 5.4 mini, which is what i've been using instead of sonnet 5 to save a lil money.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wr5io2/best_cheaper_alternative/pc9vqve/)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/codex (Reddit): “tl;dr: currently, there're no usecases left for any gpt models, as opus 5.5 covers all bases (apart from image generation). long read: i was never a claude fan, and been using gpt almost exclusively since gpt 5 release, but with opus 5.5 it's game over for gpt.. i mean it is really hard to imagine what else to want from a model, and i personally have to prompt often and test results really fast to even be able to hit my 5hr limits on $21 claude” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wrip01/astra_as_planning_opus_55_implementation_and/pccw6cn/)

(depending on your company culture this can be a easy sell or essentially impossible) if you can't try and use a business account. failing that you can look at enterprise accounts, but the pricing is more opaque. the only reason to be using copilot is if you're a la” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wr5io2/best_cheaper_alternative/pcbsukq/)

- Praise, 2026-09-17, r/codex (Reddit): “there’s no way they can continue offering these plans with all of us hammering on their servers basically all day every single day. had a sense this would come to an end. have basically been at it nonstop to get product advanced as far as possible. fyi….the grok $300 plan is incredible……soooo much programming. shit tons. way more than even codex 20x or claude max. i use all 3. also, for grok….100% use it with warp. free to use warp…byom…bring yo” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1whlif0/support_just_told_me_they_arent_renewing_people/paad0jv/)

### Augment Code
