## The brief

Written by Claude Opus 5.5 from 110 labelled posts and the numbers on this page. Interpretation, not measurement: every quote is verbatim and links to its post.

**Session continuity across devices wins; redesigns and lost threads lose users.**

TL;DR:

- Claude Code, Devin and Amp lead on session continuity, cloud steering and small interface touches.
- OpenAI Codex draws heavy complaint: a heavy app, one-way session sharing, and a sidebar where threads disappear.
- Phone remote control is the loudest request, and Google Antigravity's version earns rare praise.

In plain terms: Users juggle many threads across terminal, desktop and phone. Good tools let them resume any session anywhere and watch edits land. Bad ones bury threads, move buttons between releases, and hide what the agent is doing.

### How it breaks

- **Threads you cannot find or switch** ([Saving, switching, resuming and rewinding sessions](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.session_history.md)). Once users accumulate many sessions, switching, searching and relocating them becomes the daily tax, and several tools handle it poorly.
The pattern repeats across products. Side chats that cannot be toggled between. Desktop thread switching that users call painful. Sessions that will not move to another directory without a plugin. Workspace changes that only work when a new chat starts. A Codex user describes spending the first minutes of every day hunting for the right thread in a laggy sidebar. Session history is the backbone of long agent work, and users notice when it buckles.
  Evidence:
  - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-26: “@thsottiaux codex cli bug? upon opening more than 1 /btw side chat, can’t seem to switch between each other. ctrl+/ only opens the recent one. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1256990029198606338/status/2103977885946228800)
  - Complaint, Devin, @DevinAI, 2026-09-20: “@daradoescode @devinai bro finally someone addresses it i absolutely love @devindesktop but switching btwn (non cloud) threads sucks” [source](https://twitter.com/1745598497640902656/status/2101784091884507458)
  - Complaint, OpenCode, r/opencode, 2026-09-02: “when i try to move a session to a different directory, i only see one folder on the list (the current one). i want to move it to a specific directory path. what am i doing wrong? i'd rather use the in built tools rather than some sketchy plugin.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1w54ggd/move_session_command_not_working_on_tui/)
  - Complaint, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-19: “@cline suggestion @cline: workspace selection currently only works when starting a new chat. it would be super helpful to allow selecting/changing workspace folders directly inside an existing session!” [source](https://twitter.com/4161108994/status/2101312459877257432)

- **Redesigns that move the controls** ([How the interface shows work, and what the user can configure](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.display_settings.md)). Interface churn breaks muscle memory, and users ask to restore the old design rather than learn the new one.
Users report review buttons that move every update, model selectors that change behaviour, and plan mode buttons that vanish. One Conductor user started work in the wrong repo repeatedly after a shortcut was removed. Claude Code users complain about a new hint that eats screen space with no off switch. Restoring the previous UI is a top request, led by OpenCode and Codex users. Change without an opt-out reads as loss, not progress.
  Evidence:
  - Complaint, Conductor, @conductor_build, 2026-09-17: “@conductor_build removing the plus next to a project has become a real pain. i'm working in mulitple repos at once and have started work in the wrong repo 4 times today.” [source](https://twitter.com/20688125/status/2100470794333913267)
  - Complaint, Conductor, r/conductorbuild, 2026-09-24: “yeah i was sarcastic. it drives me crazy. the review button moves every update, the model selector changes, plan mode button is gone, etc. they keep changing shit that is fine and meanwhile there’s still no ios app 😭” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/conductorbuild/comments/1wp7deq/favourite_thing_in_conductor/pbszn7p/)
  - Complaint, Conductor, @conductor_build, 2026-09-22: “@kylezantos @conductor_build @charlieholtz i kinda miss the easiness of the previous ui for this, i don't think it was that bad to pick a model on the fly for dropdowns without having to go to the shortcuts edit view.” [source](https://twitter.com/1231065733918068736/status/2102503769032319365)
  - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-11: “<strict_link> anyone know how to disable the "in filename.go" hint that got added recently? it takes up so much space on a small screen, and the whole chat is indented up to that point it's such a bad change i can't believe it even got approved” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wdb1vf/disable_filename_appearing_in_chat/)

- **Remote control is the missing surface** ([Mobile, remote-control and voice access](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/surfaces.remote_mobile.md)). Users want to steer local sessions from a phone or browser, and gaps here push them to stitch together their own workarounds.
Posts describe rigging remote access through third-party terminals, and asking for a web route when desktop and mobile apps are off limits. Where remote control exists, users still flag iOS experiences that feel like laggy remote desktop with poor copy and paste. Phone control of desktop sessions, official mobile apps and built-in remote control dominate the request list. Codex users alone pile onto remote control for the CLI.
  Evidence:
  - Complaint, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-25: “@antigravity any eta on the remote control feature i had to jerry rig it via terminus to get it working. why not just get it working in the gemini app or make an antigravity app shouldn't.” [source](https://twitter.com/1970908528559738880/status/2103594725085167956)
  - Praise, Claude Code, r/codex, 2026-09-06: “i'm a claude code user and all the hype of astra plus the nonsense speech of opus 5 is making me really want to give codex a go. my problem is i work in a secure environment, so i can't download desktop apps, can't ssh into my servers, and can't use my phone. on claude, i go into my servers, turn on a session, then i can go to the website and access it via remote control. it seems like codex requires the mobile or desktop app to control remote control sessions. does anyone know of a workaround to be able to control a remote session via the web?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1w8qokp/codex_remote_control_in_a_browser/)
  - Complaint, Claude Code, r/ClaudeCode, 2026-09-08: “how do you guys handle the awful ios experience? it’s basically taking over every time and bouncing between that and it works like a remote desktop app with the same input delay, not to mention some ai providers like cursor still are terminal looking which is terrible to copy/paste texts like a normal chat, it definitely has amazing capabilities but i’m so frustrated with the ios experience.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1vwjgyv/orca_ade_is_incredible/p8i3oim/)
  - Praise, Conductor, @conductor_build, 2026-09-02: “.env.local remains the biggest issue with moving dev environments to the cloud from local machines. @conductor_build seems to have this well figured out - just want that darn mobile app!” [source](https://twitter.com/373800245/status/2095141836213862695)

- **Hiding the work kills steering** ([How the interface shows work, and what the user can configure](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.display_settings.md), [Stopping and steering a running agent](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/ui.interrupt_steer.md)). Users who steer agents mid-run need to see edits, commands and output, and interfaces that collapse that view lose their trust.
Cline users say they returned because they could watch folders and edits update live, keeping them in the loop with little effort. Others complain that activity now happens with nothing visible on screen. Orchestrator setups leave users hopping between panes or asking an agent for subagent status. Users who steer actively say watching the thought process saves waste. Showing full reasoning by default is a standing request, especially from Claude Code users.
  Evidence:
  - Praise, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-11: “@claudeai is making me blind. i am going back to using @cline after using claude extensively over last 6 months. i like to be in ide, see folder heirarchy pop up as file is being edited, see those edits being made, it keeps me in the loop with minimal effort on my part.” [source](https://twitter.com/1869484825364549632/status/2098275435863748751)
  - Praise, Cline, @cline, 2026-09-19: “@musingiqbal @bovetheline @cline @opencode herms agent is amazing for a free app. but i miss how i work with cline, i do not feel comfortable letting the ai do everything, i want to watch the edits and commands and their outputs which is what is amazing about cline. i do not want to hide those things. p1” [source](https://twitter.com/2051403352869638144/status/2101370827476279683)
  - Complaint, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-02: “@claudedevs now my fan spins up for reasons i can't even see happening on screen anymore.” [source](https://twitter.com/2333893073/status/2095269674774561220)
  - Complaint, Pi, @pidotdev, 2026-09-06: “@piotr @dhh @pidotdev yeah i've been doing that for awhile. the advantage of what @dhh is showing in claude is instant visibility of everything. herdr "kind of" does that with left sidebar. but most of the time i'm frantically hopping around. or i have to ask my orch agent status on subagents' tasks.” [source](https://twitter.com/1944052096787009536/status/2096671538741191014)

- **Cloud handoff still has friction** ([Cloud and remote sandbox execution](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/surfaces.cloud_sessions.md)). Cloud sandboxes win praise for persistence, but setup pain and weak cloud-to-local handoff keep users from trusting them fully.
Devin users call blueprint and worktree setup painful for persistent agents. A Conductor fan ranks rivals lower mainly on handoff from cloud back to local. Others note that cloud-only workspaces quietly get reviewed less without a local mirror. One Cursor user reports a cloud session spawning without being asked. The value is real; the seams between cloud and laptop are where users stall.
  Evidence:
  - Complaint, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-01: “giving my first attempt to cloud agents with @cognition’s devin cloud. the blue print setup is really not easy. work tree build up is way too painful for persistent coding agents. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/218098611/status/2094576943064838315)
  - Praise, Conductor, @conductor_build, 2026-09-12: “i've tried literally everything: @cursor_ai: runner up, better ux, better mobile app etc. but handoff from cloud to local isn't as good. and i hate usage based billing (even if it ultimately adds up) @t3dotcodes: also very nice. i love that i can use my own vps. but still very new, has a ton of rough edges, and doesn't support multi-agent workspaces (i.e tabs). also terrible handoff from cloud to local. @orca_build + paseo: same issues as t3. mobile apps aren't as polished. and the list goes on. conductor is such a joy to use.” [source](https://twitter.com/1476508432559714304/status/2098881136722055462)
  - Praise, Conductor, @conductor_build, 2026-09-14: “@euboid @conductor_build the local sync point is underrated. we run parallel agent workspaces and the ones without a local mirror are the ones nobody tests. cloud-only friction does not announce itself, it just quietly lowers how often agents get reviewed.” [source](https://twitter.com/1500631864314261504/status/2099336600648118292)
  - Complaint, Cursor, r/cursor, 2026-09-13: “mine spawns a cursor cloud session for when it needs to develop something. never asked it, it did it out of its own” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1we45u2/i_am_liking_grok_bot/p9l3t67/)

### Who stands out

- **Claude Code (stronger)**. Users praise one place to see sessions from terminal, desktop and other machines, plus remote control that works through the web.
The desktop app pulls terminal and other-PC sessions into one view, and users say work resumes mid-edit with reasoning intact. A user in a locked-down environment relies on starting a session on a server and steering it from the website, and asks whether Codex can match it. Complaints exist, mostly about display changes and CLI copy behaviour, but the session story is the draw.
  Evidence:
  - Praise, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-02: “one of the best releases of claude code desktop is to allow you to see all your sessions all at one place i like the fact that i can open my desktop app and see sessions on my terminal and sessions on my other pc🔥🔥. but still continue to burn tokens with fable 🙂. @claudedevs” [source](https://twitter.com/3120484500/status/2095222973674520595)
  - Praise, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-26: “@claudedevs <strict_link> dont need to find stopping point. all your sessions and tasks can continue any time anywhere so a mid edit, ideas and reasonings all will be preserved 💪.” [source](https://twitter.com/1532245547561930752/status/2103676179563860368)
  - Complaint, Claude Code, @ClaudeDevs, 2026-09-03: “@claudedevs can we customize the ability to copy text in the cli to not have line breaks! for the love of god it needs to be fixed” [source](https://twitter.com/118820291/status/2095573174159372380)

- **OpenAI Codex (weaker)**. The Codex app draws complaints for weight, one-way session sharing with the CLI, and a thread sidebar that buries work.
Users list a heavy app and sessions that only flow one way between CLI and app. Removed features, like branching a new thread from an existing one, generate direct pleas to staff. Merging ChatGPT into the app left search returning chats instead of Codex threads, per one user. Remote control does get praise, but requests for it in the CLI are large.
  Evidence:
  - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-01: “@thsottiaux - the codex app is still heavy - session sharing between cli and app is one-way - the main model is inappropriate for abstract tasks - it still creates ai slop pages that only function without considering ux (inappropriate for ui design)” [source](https://twitter.com/1975155395980361728/status/2094593231543767323)
  - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, r/codex, 2026-09-25: “i mostly made this change cause if i have like 10s of projects and nearly hundreds of threads, the current sidebar is so lackluster. the project title and the project threads are horizontally aligned the same amount, use the same font, and you can't even make out which project and which thread something is , in a glance, my first minute or two of opening codex every day is just searching for the right thread. and not to mention that its insanely laggy to scroll through, if you have a lot of threads. i can't even use the search function anymore since they merged chatgpt with codex, the only thing search pulls up is the chats and not codex threads as much. so here's my fix for it” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wpy0vz/codexs_sidebar_is_unusable_if_you_have_more_than/)
  - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-15: “why can’t codex app create a new thread from an existing thread anymore? 🤔 @thsottiaux @sigkitten” [source](https://twitter.com/1088689086/status/2099824859836448931)
  - Complaint, OpenAI Codex, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app, 2026-09-23: “when will get chatgpt back? this is bad ux @thsottiaux can you please fix it. this is on the codex app. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1304012717351559169/status/2102645420526809474)

- **Google Antigravity (mixed)**. Remote control is a standout users call its best feature, while the CLI interface and scroll behaviour draw sharp complaints.
Users say remote control feels like having the agent on their phone, and credit it with real gains in getting work done away from the desk. The other side is blunt. One user calls the CLI the worst TUI they have used and says the UI needs a rethink. Others report the view jumping to the newest message while reading history, and sessions that do not sync across machines.
  Evidence:
  - Praise, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-26: “remote control might be the best feature in @antigravity . it's not remote control; it feels like having antigravity on your phone.” [source](https://twitter.com/1742147769110794241/status/2103708533548285965)
  - Praise, Google Antigravity, @antigravity, 2026-09-19: “@antigravity this has been a really great model. remote control + 3.8 flash has made a huge difference in my ability to get work done.” [source](https://twitter.com/2095330043333414912/status/2101364451589165490)
  - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-02: “i am really glad you answered. i appreciate it well, i was using gemini cli since release. it was perfect. everybody loved it. it was much better than claude code. while we are forced to use agy cli. yes it's better than before but it needs auto mode via shift+tab it needs some sort of marketplace the ui really needs a rethink. it feels empty idk why even tho i used claude code, codex, gemini cli, qwen (i know its a fork from gemini cli) but for me agy cli is the worst tui” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1w5h7wb/bruh_didnt_expect_gemini_flash_to_top_deepswe/p7feyyu/)
  - Complaint, Google Antigravity, r/google_antigravity, 2026-09-10: “while viewing older chat messages, the screen automatically scrolls down to the newest(bottom part) message after a few moments” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wcqch2/issue_with_antigravity_extension/)

- **Devin (stronger)**. Users value a cloud machine they can steer from the terminal and hand work off to mid-session.
Posts highlight switching models mid-session and passing tasks to a cloud instance to keep running. Users frame a dedicated VM they can reach directly as the unlock over chat-only agents. The gaps are in the local experience. Switching non-cloud threads in the desktop app draws complaints, and a mobile app is a frequent ask.
  Evidence:
  - Praise, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-22: “chat agents write code. devin has a computer. a cloud vm you can steer from the terminal and actually ssh into. that’s the unlock. swe-2 is free until oct 8. try it before the window closes. @devinai @cognition” [source](https://twitter.com/2520114157/status/2102402829495546025)
  - Praise, Devin, @DevinAI, 2026-09-07: “there are people on this app that don’t know that @devinai exists if you’re tired of switching coding tools to use different models, take a look. • glm 5.3, 5.3 flash, 5.2 • claude fable, haiku, opus, sonnet • gpt astra, sol, luna, terra • deepseek v4 flash and pro • swe 1.7 and 1.6 • gemini 3.7 flash • grok 4.6 and 4.5 • inkling • kimi k3 and 2.7 you can switch models mid-session in devin cli with /model, and hand tasks off to a cloud devin when you want the work to continue there. that’s a lot of options without jumping between tools.” [source](https://twitter.com/415168859/status/2097045354709500191)
  - Praise, Devin, @cognition, 2026-09-15: “devin getting its own mac vm is a meaningful agent step: build, test, record, and ship a testflight link without a human in the loop. product surface matters. video source @cognition <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/2096198472479248384/status/2099904434763374687)
  - Complaint, Devin, @DevinAI, 2026-09-20: “@daradoescode @devinai bro finally someone addresses it i absolutely love @devindesktop but switching btwn (non cloud) threads sucks” [source](https://twitter.com/1745598497640902656/status/2101784091884507458)

- **Amp (stronger)**. Small interface details win users over, from number-key thread switching to a sidebar tuned until users ask the team to stop.
Users notice keyboard thread switching in the macOS app and tips that quickly become default shortcuts. Moving between phone and desktop through orbs earns praise. Complaints are granular rather than structural: scrolling back to the last prompt, copying output, model lists that do not sort by use, and shared links that default to public.
  Evidence:
  - Praise, Amp, @AmpCode, 2026-09-11: “just noticed that you can switch threads in @ampcode macos app with ⌘ + number. loving the attention to detail here. <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/4862628919/status/2098301056463880494)
  - Praise, Amp, @AmpCode, 2026-09-02: “@ampcode appreciate the tinkering over the last week on the sidebar. i think the sidebar is finally good. keep it where it's at, please 🙏” [source](https://twitter.com/33135576/status/2095229609226932634)
  - Praise, Amp, @AmpCode, 2026-09-16: “didnt take long for this tip to become obsolete 😊 this is now a default keyboard shortcut <strict_link> i love how those @ampcode guys work <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/132882990/status/2100285753506889835)
  - Praise, Amp, @AmpCode, 2026-09-24: “i completely agree, the ui/ux is actually very good, and i think the multi-model advantage is best utilized by amp. why? of course, it's because it supports byok, unlike cursor (which feels like it wasn't made with care). amp's byok is treated like a favored child. i also really like orbs that allow me to switch between different devices. i often use my phone in bed when i can't sleep to come up with new ideas and then let amp write/edit plans while i sleep, but the results are not ideal, as i mentioned above. so that's why i think i might need to switch back to claude code.” [source](https://twitter.com/1592160489965948933/status/2103112783663673590)

### Fine print

- Posts come from vocal users on public channels, so quiet satisfaction and enterprise usage are undercounted.
- Several agents shipped interface redesigns in this window, so complaints may track release churn more than lasting quality.
- Kiro, Augment Code and Grok Build have too few posts here to judge.

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 2156 author-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by Claude Sonnet 5 reads every counted post and extracts what the author asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. Claude Opus 5.5 groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes; code counts them. A theme counts distinct author-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one author-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 author-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different authors, without slurs, preferring posts of 60 to 450 characters, most recent first.

### 1. Official dedicated mobile app

- Factory, 2026-09-27, @FactoryAI (X): “@droid @factoryai my nits are all qol - droid mobile app - windows and mac dev environments for bots (using namespace devboxes in the meantime) - handoff between local and cloud agents - extend droid cloud agent access, we are limited to 40h/month while competing products are unlimited” [source](https://twitter.com/2070908287978246144/status/2104255956439961935)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “really this... i want to run claudecode on the codex app. i want to complete everything on my smartphone, so i've been using ccpocket to run claude all the time. <strict_link> <strict_link>” [source](https://twitter.com/1726008617739190272/status/2103939505904628104)
- Zed, 2026-09-23, r/ZedEditor (Reddit): “i wouldn’t want development of this to take priority over the desktop editor but a stripped down mobile version would be nice. it wouldn’t be a horrible experience on something like an ipad or iphone duo.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZedEditor/comments/1wo7jua/what_do_you_think_is_missing_in_zed_editor/pbm6uy7/)

### 2. Phone control of local and desktop sessions

- OpenCode, 2026-09-26, @opencode (X): “@opencode an official mobile app with live streaming, session controls, notifications, diffs, and secure remote access would make opencode even more op. please build it 🙏” [source](https://twitter.com/2089150826224783360/status/2103972009294409741)
- Factory, 2026-09-26, @droid (X): “@droid is there to tell which model auto model is using for a given task? also, mobile remote app please!” [source](https://twitter.com/2023937351815467008/status/2103962781032534497)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-24, @opencode (X): “@opencode @christophetd can we stop this game and add support for - build in browser - build in sub-agent view for different model at same time - build in mobile application support for view sessions from mobile - support for show each prompt total cost - more go plans” [source](https://twitter.com/1018006065718464513/status/2103209276928053342)

### 3. Native Android app

- OpenCode, 2026-09-27, @opencode (X): “#day 2: @opencode needs an official android companion app. pair to my running official opencode cli/gui desktop via qr code in under 15 seconds, no tailscale, browser workarounds, ip addresses, or terminal commands.” [source](https://twitter.com/2089150826224783360/status/2104262709131018424)
- Cursor, 2026-09-27, @cursor_ai (X): “cursor, where is the android version? 🤔 why is it still not available? iphone has it, and android users are still waiting... @cursor_ai 📱👀” [source](https://twitter.com/2000581649906667521/status/2104076132454985863)
- Cursor, 2026-09-26, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai please publish an android app. you have infinite tokens to spend on it.” [source](https://twitter.com/1051957462650314752/status/2103778855446011948)

### 4. More color themes and theme customization

- Zed, 2026-09-27, r/ZedEditor (Reddit): “i'd love to see some built-in themes with higher contrast. comments in particular are barely readable with the default one light and one dark themes.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZedEditor/comments/1wo7jua/what_do_you_think_is_missing_in_zed_editor/pcghn45/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-27, r/LocalLLaMA (Reddit): “i try to codex but i dont if its just me but the interface is plain just black and white. can i change the colors of the terminal similar to open code?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/comments/1wrfp50/another_harness_matters_post_codex_cli_pi_and/pccovlo/)
- Factory, 2026-09-25, @droid (X): “@droid will we ever see themes in the desktop app? i love the layout but sometimes my eyes don’t adjust well to the colors! would love to see some sort of theme customization similar to vs code” [source](https://twitter.com/1696886920742055937/status/2103589593228431390)

### 5. Built-in remote control feature

- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs - so with the remote control feature on claude code, wouldn’t it be super sick to also be able to see live current local sessions in the same directory you’re using rc with? ideally, you could respond to prompts, see agent status and ensure it’s on the right track, etc. best workflow ever would be seamless workflows and live server previews for the directory on the app, with viewport control.” [source](https://twitter.com/1919113935665725440/status/2104316259294695424)
- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-27, @antigravity (X): “why on earth does antigravity rely on a temporary short link for remote control? why can’t this be natively integrated into gemini app? @officiallogank @antigravity @geminiapp” [source](https://twitter.com/1843269059691081728/status/2104195009679704172)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-27, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@rudrank @claudedevs @claudeai needs to do so much work on remote experience to be a real work tool. codex is really strong there.” [source](https://twitter.com/15122457/status/2104144796214263992)

### 6. Option to restore previous UI design

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-27, r/codex (Reddit): “i hate the new cli, it just feels off and wrong. i know that's not a very technical explanation but it's true. i preferred the old cli, it was solid.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wrl6ch/latest_linux_codex_cli_seems_to_have_several_bugs/pcfd666/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/codex (Reddit): “i don't know who approved the new ui, but... why? a sidebar with a sidebar is a criminal ux offense. is there a way to bring it back to previous state? i couldn't find it going through all the menus...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wr57y7/new_ui_in_codex_is/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, r/OpenAI (Reddit): “the new codex update is brutally ugly please give me the old ui back 😭 does anyone know if there’s a setting to switch back to the old ui, or are we just stuck with the new one now? if anyone’s found a workaround, please share.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/OpenAI/comments/1wqxm3f/the_new_codex_update_is_brutally_ugly/)

### 7. Conversational voice mode

- Claude Code, 2026-09-26, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs i'd prefer having a reliable voice mode first or options to use third party stt.” [source](https://twitter.com/1870719136005066752/status/2103790871791669547)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-25, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “just using tts is not enough. i already tried with mac's \`say\` command. i want to have a quick voice conversation q&a after cc implemented a bunch of code. you can just continue q&a text conversation after implementation in the same session, but it consumes context a lot and the response is too slow when you use high or xhigh effort.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wow0qc/is_there_a_way_to_review_claude_codes_work/pbvozo0/)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-23, r/opencode (Reddit): “i like the idea. i'm currently actually looking for a chatgpt voice experience. a model & a tooling around where i can freely talk and also barge in. just for casual talk like chatgpt voice offers, but with privacy and without limits. that'd be cool.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wnstna/im_building_native_local_voice_input_for_opencode/pbnfykq/)

### 8. SSH and remote machine development

- Pi, 2026-09-23, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “cool, i’ll give it a try! i currently use herdr with pi, so it’s nice to see another app that’s more focused specifically on pi. i haven’t checked yet, but does orbit support remote sessions? i often run agents on a vm or a remote mac, so being able to connect to pi sessions running there would be really useful. if it doesn’t support that yet, is it something you’re planning?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1woela9/orbit_pi_v0015_is_out/pbn32fu/)
- Pi, 2026-09-23, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “can it connect to an already running pi inside a tmux session? i use it for ssh access but it'd be nice to have a desktop app interact with it as well when i'm at my seat.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wmd8ez/pi_desktop_a_desktop_gui_for_the_piomp_coding/pbi0ts7/)
- Zed, 2026-09-22, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev now i need to run everything remotely. please, please!” [source](https://twitter.com/203317967/status/2102485681452744824)

### 9. Show full model reasoning by default

- Factory, 2026-09-27, @FactoryAI (X): “@droid @factoryai droid is genuinely useful for larger, multi-file tasks and does a good job staying on track without constant guidance. the biggest improvement for me would be better visibility into its reasoning/progress and more predictable results on longer tasks :)” [source](https://twitter.com/2093736525116702720/status/2104324409502970188)
- GitHub Copilot, 2026-09-25, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “sometime in the past month or so, reasoning summaries for gpt models such as luna have vanished, both for 5.6 and 6. is there some way to turn these back on? thanks. u/bogganpierce” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wpmqhu/reasoning_summaries_have_vanished_for_gpt_models/)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-23, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “rather than forcing in new features, i'd like you to stop breaking the ones that already exist. i'm not against adding new features, but please don't make what we already have worse. the thinking process now only shows a simplified summary, which makes it hard to see where the model is getting stuck. this is a real problem for me. you don't need to pile on more. just please don't ruin what's already here. that's how i feel.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wob3hx/dear_claude_guys_please_dont_change_anything/pbm6rhw/)

### 10. Native iOS app

- Factory, 2026-09-27, @FactoryAI (X): “@droid @factoryai here's what's sticking out right now - no droid ios app - desktop app missing from linux - syncing missions / repos / active work between droid computers (my own not droid managed). i need to be able to shift my coding workloads off my laptop and take them everywhere with me.” [source](https://twitter.com/1382136217601417222/status/2104238899493318925)
- Conductor, 2026-09-24, r/conductorbuild (Reddit): “yeah i was sarcastic. it drives me crazy. the review button moves every update, the model selector changes, plan mode button is gone, etc. they keep changing shit that is fine and meanwhile there’s still no ios app 😭” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/conductorbuild/comments/1wp7deq/favourite_thing_in_conductor/pbszn7p/)
- Conductor, 2026-09-22, @conductor_build (X): “@b_szafranow @conductor_build @charlieholtz give us testflight plz” [source](https://twitter.com/1163724885866295296/status/2102476561886973966)

### 11. Overall UI redesign and polish

- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-26, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “the title says it. but antigravity has been looking the same since it has been released. i'm not saying it looks bad, but they can make some ui changes.. right?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wqsaxr/do_yall_think_that_ag_is_getting_an_update/)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-25, r/opencode (Reddit): “dead ends. chaotic design. the zen section that disappears. the histogram of daily consumption, which was one of the few functional things, has changed. but why don't they use a bit of ai to fix it?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/comments/1wq4vjb/ma_perché_il_sito_web_di_opencode_fa_così_pena/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@ajambrosino i like the new design on codex app but it is a bit janky, needs to be polished more.” [source](https://twitter.com/40213456/status/2103603190251794937)

### 12. Remote control support in the CLI

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-26, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “dear @chatgpt why is it so difficult to attach the desktop client / phone app to a running codex cli session.” [source](https://twitter.com/7079062/status/2103865914370208136)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-25, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@thsottiaux any chance you folks are planning on introducing /remote-control into codex cli? that'd be awesome to have at this point. claude is so much more convenient because of this feature alone, not only opus 5.5.” [source](https://twitter.com/1586658432006127619/status/2103277042330677273)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-16, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “the one thing claude code cli definitively has over codex cli is remote control. cc: tibo” [source](https://twitter.com/1852630171/status/2100313542608204109)

### Devin

- Praise, 2026-09-26, @cognition (X): “this is 100% available in devin cloud sessions, it works very well, and we've had it for quite some time, we don't support it locally as we can't ensure the user's machine will be available or on. you can ask in natural language or choose from many different templates. the local agent should understand this so we'll look into it.” [source](https://twitter.com/17189394/status/2103877279424094668)

- Praise, 2026-09-25, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “i ended up building my own ide (using monaco) that integrates pi that runs entirely as a web app so i can access it form anywhere, it runs on a vps, if i want to work on something i just clone the repo on the vm and send my prompt, i barely even use my local machine anymore.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wpxese/how_do_you_handle_agentic_dev_across_multiple/pc0h8k0/)

- Complaint, 2026-09-26, r/kiroIDE (Reddit): “i use both claude and kiro for work as a software developer daily, i cant give you a fair comparison token wise as i have a $100 claude account vs a 1000 credits kiro account so it's not fair, but comparing tools claude is much better no questions asked. kiro is not even compatible between it's own tools (they are fixing this with cli v3 which is not their stable version yet), i don't like their spec driven development implementation, in my opinion it has no idea of the size of the task you want, it just throws everything at it, it creates a biblical spec for a hello world, it doesn't make sense, i'm using grill with kiro and superpowers on claude and that's enough for my job. you cannot adj” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/kiroIDE/comments/1wqueq0/claude_pro_vs_kiro_pro_subscription_which_is/pc76mgu/)

- Complaint, 2026-09-17, G2 (G2): “q: what problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you? a: i use it to build, refactor and manage a large codebase. work like that gets tedious when changes touch a lot of files, and having augment code help with it makes those tasks more manageable. it's only been a week or two, so i don't have hard numbers, but it has made refactoring work feel less of a chore. q: what do you like best about the product? a: the main thing i like is how easy it is to get going. setup didn't take long, and the ui is clean enough that i didn't have to hunt around to figure out where things are. i've been using it for building and refactoring in a fairly large codebase, and it's easy to work wi” [source](https://www.g2.com/products/augment-code/reviews/augment-code-review-13367494)

### Grok Build

- Praise, 2026-09-20, r/codex (Reddit): “i really want to use codex cli but i find it hard to follow because it doesn't hide all the thinking and edited files like it does on the desktop app. claude code has focus mode and grok build hides that stuff by default. is there a way to do that in codex cli?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wlffmo/is_codex_itself_really_the_best_harness_to_use/paynsfa/)
