Feedback Bench, personal agents, built 2026-10-19, window 2026-08-31 to 2026-10-18. Web page: https://feedbackbench.com/#/criterion/act.reservations

Area: [Getting tasks done](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/act.md)

**Definition.** Whether the agent can book appointments, restaurants, hotels, flights and tickets end to end with outside businesses.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [Buying products, orders and purchase judgment](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/act.shopping.md) when buying physical goods; see [Contacting other people and businesses for you](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/act.outreach.md) when the booking is done by phone call.

Rated user-weeks, all agents: 582. Complaint share: 11%.

## The brief

Written by large language models from this page's numbers and the posts it quotes, then checked: every number in the text is in the build. Interpretation, not measurement.

Hark is the only agent that ranks high for booking. Its users say it finishes the job: event tickets, massage appointments, hotel searches and last-minute cancellation spots, all booked without handing the work back. Booking is a small part of what users rate. It makes up 1.1% of their ratings and is the 42nd most rated of 53 criteria. Muse has the most rated user-weeks here, and its users write 47% of the category's booking complaints. ChatGPT Dots ranks low, 5th of 5. Its users say bookings are slow and that it cannot pay on its own.

### What separates the best from the rest

Users of Hark and ChatGPT Dots describe different results. Hark users say the agent checks availability, books, and recovers from mistakes. Their posts run 52 praise to 4 complaints. ChatGPT Dots users describe bookings that drag on and still end with them typing in their own personal and card details. They also say the agent has no good way to link a card. Their posts run 22 praise to 11 complaints.

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

The largest failure mode is a booking the agent takes on and then hands back to the user. It accounts for 25% of complaining user-weeks and is spread across Muse, Hark and Grok Bot. Muse users write 54% of the complaints about overpriced or unsuitable options and 60% of the complaints about bookings made with wrong details. ChatGPT Dots users write 38% of the complaints that booking took longer than doing it by hand.

63 complaining user-weeks.

| Failure mode | User-weeks | Posts | Agents (user-weeks) | Definition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Booking abandoned and handed back to user | 16 | 16 | Muse 7, Hark 4, Grok Bot 3, ChatGPT Dots 1, Poke 1 | The agent accepts or advertises a booking task but never completes it, for example by stalling, saying its tools are down, or ending with 'here's the number, call yourself'; this does not cover cases where a named third party explicitly blocked it. |
| Overpriced or unsuitable options chosen | 13 | 14 | Muse 7, Grok Bot 4, ChatGPT Dots 1, Poke 1 | The agent finds or books options that are clearly worse than what the user could easily get, such as higher fares than the same booking elsewhere, a longer itinerary, poor-quality or far-away hotels, a delivery-only kitchen instead of a dine-in restaurant, or stale and nonexistent flights; this does not cover cases where the agent booked what it meant to but with the wrong details. |
| Booking slower than doing it manually | 8 | 8 | ChatGPT Dots 3, Gemini Spark 1, Grok Bot 1, Hark 1, Muse 1, OpenClaw 1 | The agent does eventually make progress, but it takes so long (minutes to hours) and needs so much supervision that doing it yourself would have been faster; this does not cover tasks that end in outright failure without any time cost being mentioned. |
| Booking site or venue blocks the agent | 7 | 7 | Muse 4, ChatGPT Dots 3 | The agent's attempt to search, book or confirm is refused by the third-party channel it picked, such as an airline or review site blocking automated access or a restaurant hanging up on an AI call; this does not cover failures where the agent got access but still could not finish. |
| Booking made with wrong details | 5 | 5 | Muse 3, Grok Bot 2 | The agent completes a reservation or form but puts in wrong information, such as the wrong time, wrong room type or wrong personal data, and the user then has to deal with the consequences; this does not cover poor option choice when the details entered were correct. |
| Payment and approval steps block autonomy | 5 | 5 | ChatGPT Dots 2, Muse 2, OpenClaw 1 | The agent cannot finish bookings on its own because it has no workable way to link a card, needs card entry for a deposit, or asks for manual approval at every step, so the end-to-end promise is defeated; this does not cover site blocking or wrong bookings. |
| Charges or bookings not followed through | 4 | 4 | Grok Bot 2, Muse 2 | After money moves or a booking exists, the agent leaves it unresolved, for example a charge with no ticket or confirmation, a fare driven up, refunds left open, or an existing booking it cannot confirm, modify, cancel or reroute; this does not cover failures that happen before any booking or charge. |
| Other | 5 | 5 | Muse 3, ChatGPT Dots 1, OpenClaw 1 | Complaints that fit none of the modes above. |

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 44 user-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by a large language model reads every counted post and extracts what the user asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. A large language model groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes, and a second pass merges themes that ask for the same change under different criteria; a merged theme sits under the criterion most of its requests map to, and code counts it once. A theme counts distinct user-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 user-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different users, without slurs: whole posts of 60 to 450 characters with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, posts of at most 280 characters first, then the newest.

### 3. Consolidated whole-trip booking in one place

### 5. Train, movie and concert ticket booking

- Muse, 2026-09-23, 上架十天擠下 ChatGPT 登榜首！Meta Muse 是「懶人版龍蝦」？跟 OpenClaw 差在哪 (YouTube): “thank you, explaining muse, the discovery agent still cannot help grab popular concert tickets, train tickets, and movie tickets (the success rate needs to be 100%), this is what ordinary consumers want.” [source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol82S1UVt7E&lc=UgxlYBTJnlfKYL1OUuB4AaABAg)
- Muse, 2026-09-09, @muse (X): “@altryne @muse fair test. speed is clearly muses pitch. but the winning task had a native payment integration waiting for it - my instinct runs india chores over whatsapp (bus fares, warranty claims) where there is no link button. want to see muse try an irctc cancellation” [source](https://twitter.com/1823633328957763584/status/2097554405151101111)

### 6. Verify availability before confirming bookings

- Muse, 2026-10-03, @muse (X): “@mukund @muse @yelp the agent promised a reservation before checking whether it had a usable booking path. test access first, then either complete through a permitted channel or hand back the exact next step. waiting through yelp and a failed call made the fallback worse.” [source](https://twitter.com/2045956510518259712/status/2106250067565048099)

### 7. Find and book the cheapest travel options

- Muse, 2026-10-04, @muse (X): “@salitribule @muse @alexandr_wang please incorporate this in your use cases. we don’t just want hotel booking. everybody wants cheaper hotels.” [source](https://twitter.com/22962393/status/2106686294705242270)
- Grok Bot, 2026-09-03, I Gave GrokBot Its Own Email and Credit Card (It Actually Worked) (YouTube): “nice demo. although once fully setup there opening an email describing what u want is the same as going to amazon. then clicking approve twice is the same as going to buy now. id like to see grok bot find cheap flights and book accordingly” [source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lsnEn0tih4&lc=Ugz24kh95ajfYmEgwZZ4AaABAg)

### 8. More flight booking sources and portals

- Muse, 2026-09-28, @muse (X): “would love to see ai agents like @muse or instinct as part of credit card perks rewards, seems like you can get more folks to book through rewards portals with a good agent offering. potentially similar to @pointmetravel and amex. cc: @chasereserve @biltrewards @amexoffers” [source](https://twitter.com/42746068/status/2104421950013739470)
- Muse, 2026-09-10, @muse (X): “@yairyup @muse love the product, but muse defaults to duffel, which keeps quoting higher than google flights on identical flights. more aggregator options would be an easy win for users trying to save $$$ @jrlevine” [source](https://twitter.com/218703640/status/2098147663401120250)

### 9. Remember travel preferences when booking

- Muse, 2026-10-02, @muse (X): “@capexandchill @muse yeah you should be able to say “book me a flight for next month’s offsite” and it’ll already know the dates, the airline you like, what class your company will pay for, etc. and then it should just tell you in when it’s been booked and here’s the confirmation email” [source](https://twitter.com/1584229933773201410/status/2105994276999929960)

### 10. Seat selection and traveler details in booking

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur. Posts that touch the fewest criteria come first, then posts of at most 280 characters, then the newest. A second large language model reads the first 3 candidates per slot and keeps a post only if it clearly praises, or clearly complains about, the agent on that criterion. Links and personal details removed by the source show as marks such as [link].
