# Calendar entries, conflicts and schedule changes (`act.calendar`)

Feedback Bench, personal agents, built 2026-10-19, window 2026-08-31 to 2026-10-18. Web page: https://feedbackbench.com/#/criterion/act.calendar

Area: [Getting tasks done](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/act.md)

**Definition.** How well the agent adds, edits and coordinates calendar events, finds conflicts and keeps schedules correct.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [Booking appointments, reservations, travel and tickets](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/act.reservations.md) when booking an appointment with an outside business; see [Reminders and notifications reach the user correctly](https://feedbackbench.com/criteria/auto.reminders.md) when the issue is reminder delivery.

Rated user-weeks, all agents: 434. Complaint share: 6%.

## The brief

Written by large language models from this page's numbers and the posts it quotes, then checked: every number in the text is in the build. Interpretation, not measurement.

No agent clearly leads on keeping the calendar right. Muse places ahead of Grok Bot, the only other agent with enough ratings to rank, but the customer love intervals of both include the category norm. Calendar work is a small topic for users. It is the 49th most rated of 53 criteria, and 5.8% of rated user-weeks complain. Muse users raise it 2.33 times as often as other users, and Muse holds 60% of the category's complaints here. Grok Bot is the lower of the two ranked agents.

### What separates the best from the rest

No agent ranks high and none ranks low on this criterion. Users of Muse and Grok Bot, the two ranked agents, praise them far more often than they complain: 243 praise to 15 complaints for Muse, and 95 to 5 for Grok Bot. Users of both ask for a more robust dedicated scheduling system. Muse users also ask for help planning the day around their calendar.

- **Ranks high**: no agent
- **Ranks low**: no agent

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

Fewer than 30 user-weeks complain, too few to sort into failure modes.

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 17 user-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by a large language model reads every counted post and extracts what the user asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. A large language model groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes, and a second pass merges themes that ask for the same change under different criteria; a merged theme sits under the criterion most of its requests map to, and code counts it once. A theme counts distinct user-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 user-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different users, without slurs: whole posts of 60 to 450 characters with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, posts of at most 280 characters first, then the newest.

### 1. More robust dedicated scheduling system

- Grok Bot, 2026-10-03, @bot (X): “@lingxi @bot it needs its own calendar or a more robust scheduling structure than each bot creating individual cron jobs for each appointment or reminder, and then deleting them later.” [source](https://twitter.com/971800023519432704/status/2106524713040093245)
- Muse, 2026-09-16, @muse (X): “@chrisuniverse @muse study plan is the easy half. when's the dot physical on the calendar as a held time, not a note?” [source](https://twitter.com/1799546727428440064/status/2100151525612138664)
- Muse, 2026-09-24, @muse (X): “@hbarra @muse the retail connector is the right choice to proceed first, as it has the shortest shopping link and the fastest results. the next step that really needs to be supplemented is the calendar and to-do: the agent lacks scheduling context, and the so-called "proactive reminders" are all empty.” [source](https://twitter.com/1477506814958718977/status/2102974770778153098)

### 2. Automatic calendar upkeep and optimization

- Hermes Agent, 2026-10-02, @NousResearch (X): “@nousresearch @maxkolysh you should also have calendar optimization :) have you ever heard about open source? [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1663210671171878912/status/2106082700297998789)

### 3. Plan day around calendar schedule

- Muse, 2026-09-27, App Store (App Store): “the best consumer ai agent hands down - i give it a ton of personal life work for me and especially errands and shopping and it’s fantastic. i hope i can use it to manage my calendar and personal social life even more.” [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/muse-from-meta/id6760173601)
- Muse, 2026-09-15, @muse (X): “@muse and @meta, personal ai agents have become more accessible this week. if it were me, i would search for emails from the connected gmail and save a draft for replies. you decide when to send. i would organize the day according to the calendar schedule and also show the sources of the answers. wedelia is not just able to talk. it's an ai companion that helps with daily tasks as well. #metamuse #ai agent” [source](https://twitter.com/2084315894357102593/status/2099815492567572764)

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur. Posts that touch the fewest criteria come first, then posts of at most 280 characters, then the newest. A second large language model reads the first 3 candidates per slot and keeps a post only if it clearly praises, or clearly complains about, the agent on that criterion. Links and personal details removed by the source show as marks such as [link].

"this task is done as request by user" instead of moving it to done?? wtf its also forgetting memories and restrictions and doing them anyway. don't get me started on live chat, it's literally noting the inverse of what i said as i speak.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GrokBot/comments/1wsh8c4/grokbot_has_been_unbearably_bad_today_anyone_else/pdsl2e0/)

### OpenClaw

- Praise, 2026-09-07, X search: OpenClaw, openclaw.ai (X): “absolute best openclaw skill i have is family calendar sync, which scans through emails and anything else looking for calendar invites to create or update. then it invites appropriate kid and my wife to an invite from my calendar. it saves so much time and tedium. [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/20132963/status/2096976243497619746)
- Praise, 2026-10-07, @openclaw (X): “@crispincowan0 @openclaw yep the context of course. in my case, my agent knows the best way to schedule time with me so when someone asks "can you book me time with damian?" my agent takes them through "ok, he prefers morning pst times, i see some openings this week. what's the topic about?" etc” [source](https://twitter.com/809288957011709952/status/2107927420649218325)
- Praise, 2026-10-15, X search: OpenClaw, openclaw.ai (X): “the common sense of engineers is about to change. i entrusted all my daily routine tasks to an agent with openclaw. from sorting emails to adjusting schedules, ai autonomously handles everything. it's fascinating to feel like i have two of myself managing work. this is the future of work. follow to get the latest information.” [source](https://twitter.com/1916877598065602560/status/2110702981306015885)
- Complaint, 2026-10-12, @openclaw (X): “grok @bot catching a double booking on my calendar and having the reschedule email ready as it told me was nice i know i shouldn't be impressesd necessarily. it's stupidly simple to do and all... but my other agents weren't doing it before (@openclaw / hermes) and my muse which is active now didn't do it it's like any employee...the details that make you trust one over the other make a big difference” [source](https://twitter.com/19563694/status/2109750914613707104)

### Hark

- Praise, 2026-10-16, @hark_labs (X): “@hark_labs @adcock_brett she's using gmail for the first time and emails me updates to keep me in the loop. hark keeps her calendar up to date so she always knows her schedule. she even tells hark what her kids like and it helps her find birthday presents.” [source](https://twitter.com/2051987678330249216/status/2111108051398738312)
- Praise, 2026-10-11, @hark_labs (X): “@mags_official24 @hark_labs not yet publicly. what i've run it against myself: sota-class on the day-to-day - scheduling, cross-app lookups, multi-step plans. i hold off calling it benchmarked until they publish a suite. the fact they aren't racing to post a leaderboard number is the feature.” [source](https://twitter.com/2109206569963384832/status/2109370054160900132)
- Praise, 2026-10-07, @hark_labs (X): “@hark_labs is really good. i have it converting my calendar to a card with tappable links to info and nav. this morning it gave a list of gifts to pick from for a wedding on friday. it gave me a shopping list of paint samples i need to pick up with the hub number and a tappable link to the paint store. the home tab is such a killer feature.” [source](https://twitter.com/1822280911674638336/status/2107806018486833355)

### Gemini Spark

- Praise, 2026-09-26, X search: Gemini Spark (X): “examples of using gemini spark schedule if you throw your plans into the calendar and put the necessary resources in google workspace, it will organize what you need to do, which is great. of course, you need to diligently record the data for reference, but the expectation of becoming more convenient outweighs the burden, so it doesn't feel like a hassle. ### Instinct

- Praise, 2026-10-15, We tested Instinct, Muse and Grokbot. They’re ridiculous. (YouTube): “great video. you got this old man (age 65) to sign up for instinct. it's been more effective than chatgpt at helping me manage my google calendar in the first 10 minutes” [source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pfr6qwPZlhE&lc=Ugxhoi88vOZBv_zMIzh4AaABAg)

- Praise, 2026-10-13, r/GrokBot (Reddit): “so this is with instinct, but assume grok bot can do the same. i gave it a login to my school portal, 3 different schools for my 3 kids in the one portal. it scans the portal and reads the updates and automatically puts school events like sports carnivals in my calendar and gives me a summary of any school events that day every morning in whatsapp. dad is going to be more on top of school stuff than mum 😂” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GrokBot/comments/1x4lk32/what_do_you_use_grokbot_for/pggajxh/)
