# Reviewing and approving the agent's changes (`verify.change_review_ui`)

Feedback Bench, coding agents, built 2026-10-19, window 2026-08-31 to 2026-10-18. Web page: https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/#/criterion/verify.change_review_ui

Area: [Checking and finishing](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/criteria/checking.md)

**Definition.** Diff views, per-file approval, edit-acceptance prompts, and how manageable the amount of change is for a human reviewer.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [IDE and editor integration](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/criteria/setup.ide_integration.md) for general editor features. Not this: see [Length and clarity of replies, summaries and comments](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/criteria/work.response_verbosity.md) for prose length.

Rated user-weeks, all agents: 439. Complaint share: 58%.

## The brief

Written by large language models from this page's numbers and the posts it quotes, then checked: every number in the text is in the build. Interpretation, not measurement.

Cursor ranks highest for making its changes easy to review. Users say its diff view lets them step through what the last prompt changed and keep or reject each edit, file by file. Few users rate this at all: it is 0.5% of what users of AI coding agents rate, the 57th most rated of 63 criteria. When they do rate it, 58.3% of rated user-weeks complain. Claude Code and OpenAI Codex rank low. Claude Code users write 37% of the category's complaints here, and OpenAI Codex users write 18%.

### What separates the best from the rest

Cursor users describe a review step they would miss if they left: inline diffs and keep or reject controls for each file. Claude Code and OpenAI Codex users describe changes they cannot easily see. They say the diff panel shows plain coloured text or stops appearing, there is no button to approve or reject each edit, and edits made through scripts never show up in the diff. One user runs Claude Code for the edits and then opens Cursor only to review them.

 - Cursor, 2026-10-13, r/cursor (Reddit): “yes, but in that case, we lose the diff git interface that allows you to keep or reject the generated code file by file. it's really this feature that is cool with cursor. by the way, it seems that the "continue" extension of vscode does the same, but i haven't tested it yet.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x4or37/cursor_new_plans_and_major_changes/pggvl7k/)
 - Cursor, 2026-10-12, r/cursor (Reddit): “i use both, but cursor is just for reading now. claude code makes the edits in the terminal, then i open the diff in cursor before i commit. that's where i catch the stuff it changed that i never asked for.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x3r2hw/anyone_still_using_cursor_next_to_claude_code/pfen4da/)
- **Ranks low**: [Claude Code](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/agents/claude-code.md), [OpenAI Codex](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/agents/codex.md)
 - OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-28, r/cursor (Reddit): “codex don’t show as much visibility. you don’t have a button to approve/reject each edit. it’s still oriented towards prompt and forget” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1ws0efi/dont_people_appreciate_an_ide/pckufmd/)
 - Claude Code, 2026-09-26, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “claude shows diffs of file edits only if he uses a tool for it. if he uses scripts he doesn't. and sometimes because of that he doesnt pknow hwat was changes (and thus recovery is impossible unless u got checkpoints enabled)” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wqwi4h/why_claude_code_uses_python_for_everything_and/pc7r1bp/)

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

The largest failure mode is too much change to review, such as thousands of lines or dozens of files. It makes up 29% of complaining user-weeks, and Claude Code accounts for 64% of it. A missing or empty diff panel splits between OpenAI Codex at 27% and Claude Code at 25%. Google Antigravity users report nearly half of the keep and undo control complaints. Edits made outside the diff-tracked tool affect only Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.

259 complaining user-weeks.

| Failure mode | User-weeks | Posts | Agents (user-weeks) | Definition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Change volume too large to review | 75 | 76 | Claude Code 48, OpenAI Codex 12, Cursor 6, Amp 3, Pi 3, Google Antigravity 2, Devin 1 | The agent produces changes too large or sprawling for a human to review properly, such as thousands of lines per PR, dozens of files, overnight goal runs or refactors of files nobody asked it to touch, which leads to rubber-stamping, reviewer fatigue and backlogs; this excludes complaints about the review interface itself. |
| Change summary or diff panel missing | 51 | 52 | OpenAI Codex 14, Claude Code 13, Cursor 8, Google Antigravity 6, GitHub Copilot 3, OpenCode 3, Zed 2, Amp 1, Devin 1 | The agent edits files but the tool's own changed-files list, line counts, review card or diff panel is empty, stale, out of sync or stops appearing (often after an update), so the user has to fall back to git; this excludes edits that never went through the edit tool and diffs that compare against the wrong baseline. |
| Unreadable diffs with clumsy review commenting | 50 | 53 | Claude Code 11, Zed 10, OpenAI Codex 8, Cursor 7, Amp 5, OpenCode 3, Cline 2, Google Antigravity 1, Conductor 1, Devin 1, Pi 1 | Diffs, plans or other proposed changes are shown in a hard-to-read form, such as an unrendered markdown blob, poor dark-mode colours, layouts that don't work on a phone, intrusive pop-ups or no code navigation, or the tool lacks review tools like line-level comments sent as a batch, scoped annotations, marking files as viewed or seeing diffs for non-code artifacts like skills; this excludes missing or wrong diff content. |
| Keep/undo controls missing or misbehaving | 24 | 30 | Google Antigravity 11, GitHub Copilot 6, Cursor 3, OpenAI Codex 2, Claude Code 1, Kiro 1 | Accept, keep, reject or undo controls fail to appear, come back on old chats, apply the opposite action (for example accept-all reverting files), auto-reject or auto-accept without asking, or break code and cause conflicts when the user edits files that have pending agent changes; this excludes the deliberate absence of fine-grained controls. |
| Diff compared against the wrong baseline | 20 | 23 | Claude Code 7, Zed 6, Cursor 3, Amp 2, OpenAI Codex 1, OpenCode 1 | The review view compares against a fixed or wrong reference, such as a hardcoded main branch, the main worktree instead of the active one, all git changes instead of the last turn or checkpoint, or it ignores submodules, and it offers no way to choose a branch, commit or file history to compare against; this excludes diff views that are simply empty. |
| No per-hunk accept, reject or edit | 20 | 22 | Claude Code 7, Google Antigravity 6, OpenAI Codex 4, GitHub Copilot 1, Cursor 1, Zed 1 | The review interface only offers all-or-nothing or one-at-a-time serial approval, with no way to accept or reject individual hunks or files, edit a proposed change before accepting, or move quickly between changes across files; this excludes controls that exist but are buggy. |
| Edits made outside the diff-tracked tool | 10 | 10 | Claude Code 5, OpenAI Codex 5 | The agent changes files with shell commands, sed, heredocs or ad-hoc Python/JS patch scripts instead of its built-in edit tool, so the edits never show up in the diff, review or undo interface; this excludes diff views that fail even when the proper edit tool was used. |
| Other | 15 | 16 | Claude Code 5, Google Antigravity 3, Devin 3, GitHub Copilot 1, Cursor 1, Factory 1, Zed 1 | Complaints that fit none of the modes above. |

#### Change volume too large to review

- Claude Code, 2026-10-06, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “cool, we’ve not jumped fully into agentic so currently using it just for limited changes via the cli. even with that it’s a pain to fully review everything can’t imagine what it’s like for 5-6 agents running in parallel.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wz3e35/do_you_guys_work_for_companies_that_pay_for_your/pe9i52l/)

#### Change summary or diff panel missing

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-14, r/cursor (Reddit): “i would go back to vs code if claude or codex extension had actual inline diffs.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x57zof/whats_alternative_to_cursor_now/pgoukst/)
- OpenCode, 2026-10-12, @opencode (X): “btw just use @opencode and feels like not having code diff on sidebar and panel is such a missed opportunity. so i made one [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/739028117382008832/status/2109553557301313755)
- GitHub Copilot, 2026-10-10, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “granular diff or it becomes unusable, like what is this idea? is it because you cant show cli edits as copilot diff? then solve that. but not showing session/yet unapproved diff is the most arrogant decision. i have to use ghc for work, we have no real alternatives unfortunately” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wxectl/new_updated_ui_for_vscode_github_copilot_screws/pf16no3/)

#### Unreadable diffs with clumsy review commenting

- Claude Code, 2026-10-14, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs can u please for the love of god support a more richer review diffs panel on desktop? currently it just looks like a banch of colored texts” [source](https://twitter.com/1464976703420178436/status/2110487101213217138)
- Amp, 2026-10-11, @AmpCode (X): “.@ampcode diff editor is pretty buggy, cursor isn't placed correctly on wrapped lines + intermittently loses focus [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1079733008/status/2109214653477990652)
- Amp, 2026-10-06, @AmpCode (X): “@sqs @sarve___tanvesh @ampcode one thing i use the github pr review ui for is marking file diffs as viewed, which is not easily done in amp” [source](https://twitter.com/101315185/status/2107302886866624662)

#### Keep/undo controls missing or misbehaving

- Cursor, 2026-10-09, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai does anyone at cursor actually use the “changes → commits” diff viewer in agents view? it’s completely broken and unusable.. selecting a single commit is a cat-and-mouse game of toggling select/deselect all before you can pick one.” [source](https://twitter.com/2844870331/status/2108630415896371464)
- GitHub Copilot, 2026-10-05, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “this is awful, i don't even see the button to keep or discard changes” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wxectl/new_updated_ui_for_vscode_github_copilot_screws/pdxmhiu/)
- GitHub Copilot, 2026-10-04, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “my copilot is not showing diffs or the keep/undo buttons when i use it to edit files” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wxspnp/my_copilot_is_not_showing_diffs_or_the_keepundo/)

#### Diff compared against the wrong baseline

- Amp, 2026-09-25, @AmpCode (X): “@sqs @ampcode the changes tab on very large repos gets weirdly out of sync showing like 80k+ changes or something. sometimes running git pull or other commands fix it, other times get worse. i think it needs some way to refresh on the ui. could also be comparing wrong commit” [source](https://twitter.com/1857935142670450688/status/2103610446720942394)
- Zed, 2026-09-25, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev can't use zed. i don't want to keep changing the repo to view where ai made the changes. hope zed add this soon. [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/707623871847997440/status/2103436229702517011)
- Zed, 2026-09-25, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev can you make it easier to review worktrees/branches ? somehow there's no file picker/file browser when clicking view branch diff (worktree/branch a -> main). everything is in a single clunky "changed since main" tab :/” [source](https://twitter.com/24510559/status/2103369080975876486)

#### No per-hunk accept, reject or edit

- Claude Code, 2026-10-04, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “the granular diff is literally the only reason i use copilot over claude code” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wxectl/new_updated_ui_for_vscode_github_copilot_screws/pdwcb7f/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-18, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@nickfthedev i still open it for small code changes and to keep an eye on git. i prefer vs code to the codex app for reviewing code changes.” [source](https://twitter.com/8357512/status/2100862979038130674)

#### Edits made outside the diff-tracked tool

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-17, r/codex (Reddit): “it's happened before too, sometimes it can make python scripts and do changes via it so it doesn't show "files changed"” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1x8830j/codex_app_stopped_reporting_files_changed/phd38kg/)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-01, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “before, it used to use the edit file tool, which was helpful if you wanted to understand what edits it used to make. but now it just straight up one shots all the changes in a single bash command. and i mean "all". i don't know if i'm nit picking, but this has been a very annoying experience to me. is it the same to you guys also? is it possible to change this behaviour?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wutelc/had_claude_started_using_bash_to_write_or_make/)

#### Other

- Google Antigravity, 2026-10-14, @antigravity (X): “i always ran into the same bottleneck using antigravity 2.0: i ended up opening vs code or another ide just to clearly see the git pending tasks and manage the repo. i decided to solve this at the root by creating an extension: the git & github hub. 🧵👇@antigravity [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/66012464/status/2110410673360683327)
- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-22, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “can't stand it. i don't need parallel stuff and i want to see the changes before i approve them. not really into full vibe-coding, especially since i write code as well.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wn2xsg/token_usage_between_ide_and_extensions/pbfooxz/)

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 207 user-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by a large language model reads every counted post and extracts what the user asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. A large language model groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes, and a second pass merges themes that ask for the same change under different criteria; a merged theme sits under the criterion most of its requests map to, and code counts it once. A theme counts distinct user-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 user-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different users, without slurs: whole posts of 60 to 450 characters with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, posts of at most 280 characters first, then the newest.

### 1. Per-file and per-hunk accept/reject of changes

- Cursor, 2026-10-15, r/cursor (Reddit): “i'm using claude extension in vscode with 20$ plan. it will show chat beside vscode chat. you can toggle in between. everything is good but 1 thing that bother is you cannot see all of the changes at once. in cursor you can "keep" or "undo" but not in claude chat.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x51s6g/comment/pgvtff0/)

### 2. Visible panel showing all file changes

- Amp, 2026-10-08, @AmpCode (X): “.@ampcode wonder if you could support gh stacked branches in the change ui? might be nice if i could see changes per stack or being able to search for a file instead of being limited to the first 250 files [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1009345811036155904/status/2108086341145616850)

### 3. Batched inline review comments sent to agent

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-17, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@thsottiaux please add the ability to comment directly on image attachments in the codex app. [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/2866837233/status/2111440343220551728)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-11, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “attach each comment to the reviewed diff and worktree. if edits move or replace the referenced lines before claude acts, flag the comment as outdated rather than applying it to whatever occupies that location.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x3in6q/piccolo_a_local_code_review_tool_for_you_and_your/pfbyxnn/)
- Zed, 2026-09-25, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev you **really** need a review feature though (with commenting) in this day & age…” [source](https://twitter.com/1394007551348461570/status/2103372080511066375)

### 4. Diffs against branches, commits and stacks

- Claude Code, 2026-10-15, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs running sessions in parallel moved my bottleneck from writing code to reviewing it. a combined diff view across sessions would be the killer next step.” [source](https://twitter.com/1377103266329161736/status/2110733666406273315)
- Zed, 2026-09-25, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev wish these pls · compare all changed files against a commit/branch/revision in one multi-file diff view · open a file’s history and diff two versions, or compare an old version with my working tree · make these commands so we can bind our own shortcuts” [source](https://twitter.com/2543890370/status/2103369091142803785)

### 5. Overall better diff review experience

- Zed, 2026-10-05, r/ZedEditor (Reddit): “format on save, can't count the number of hours me and claude spent on this, getting the format on save and organize imports on save to auto run for the microsoft typescript language server edit: also better ui/ux for pr reviewing and viewing changes” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZedEditor/comments/1wydtin/gimme_your_gripes/pe282h4/)
- Zed, 2026-10-05, r/ZedEditor (Reddit): “a good ux for reviewing prs and changes. they are so hardcore about ai integrations, but they dump all changes agents made to your face in a single page. i would honestly just copy what gh pr extension for vscode does.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZedEditor/comments/1wydtin/gimme_your_gripes/pe21n3o/)

### 6. Agent summary of changes and tests run

- OpenCode, 2026-10-13, @opencode (X): “@opencode background test results need a link to the code snapshot they ran against. if editing continues while a job runs, a passing result can already be stale when it arrives. showing the tested revision alongside completion would make that much easier to catch.” [source](https://twitter.com/1621089059660566528/status/2109916407790006570)
- Cline, 2026-10-08, @cline (X): “@cline a pr is a good hand-off point. what i'd want in the pr body: the exact commands it ran to test and their output. then a reviewer can tell "tests pass" from "tests were skipped" without rerunning everything.” [source](https://twitter.com/2106145031711039489/status/2108056881629466847)
- Factory, 2026-10-04, @FactoryAI (X): “@factoryai for multi-user coding agents, isolate each run by branch or worktree and make the agent post changed files plus test results before merge. shared billing without workspace isolation just scales merge conflicts.” [source](https://twitter.com/185669612/status/2106567671840129375)

### 7. Restore previous diff review UI

- Google Antigravity, 2026-10-14, @antigravity (X): “so overall @antigravity has done some amazing work, i do kind of miss the artifact view and being able to adjust through comments on .md was pretty cool” [source](https://twitter.com/373800245/status/2110339484638191665)
- GitHub Copilot, 2026-10-06, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “latest release changes the harness it something and thee me off... review changes and making edits so much harder now and just on our big release day... thanks copilot team for the warning...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wxspnp/my_copilot_is_not_showing_diffs_or_the_keepundo/pe6542s/)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-05, r/codex (Reddit): “is this feature removed? you used to have a branch selector, and i cannot seem to figure out how to enter review mode anymore. is there another way to create a review? this app seems to be progressively less intuitive by the day to me..... thanks.... ### 8. In-app pull request review

- Amp, 2026-10-05, @AmpCode (X): “@sqs @ampcode anyway we can get pr previews/diff inside the right sidebar please! hate going to github. i like how devin does it, just intercepts all those pr links!” [source](https://twitter.com/870914625918849024/status/2107037932083458107)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-26, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs a dedicated portal for tracking reviews will save so much back and forth.” [source](https://twitter.com/1462641880500342786/status/2103662496553021531)

### 9. Fix diff apply bugs and intrusive popups

- Google Antigravity, 2026-10-06, @antigravity (X): “@adhidesign @googledeepmind @antigravity - when plans need decisions, explicitly ask the questions as inputs in the chat - when the agent makes changes, loads of files get "accept changes" options... even tough when i run the app locally all the changes are visible.” [source](https://twitter.com/2222141/status/2107563125507567887)
- Zed, 2026-10-06, @zeddotdev (X): “@zeddotdev ideally, it should be either above or below the highlighted line, not over it.” [source](https://twitter.com/1424708341901795330/status/2107376801093968264)
- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-23, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “1. please bring the remote feature in extension too 2. inline chat completion feature 3. when files are edited via agent, the code editor floods with error marks as the changes are not immediately shown on the editors” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wnt3dq/whats_the_changes_in_antigravity_ext_v140/pbih9gj/)

### 10. Reliable auto-refreshing diff view

- Claude Code, 2026-09-18, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs @lydiahallie @bcherny i absolutely love what y'all have done with the desktop app and it is my primary way of using claude code for work. the changes you have made to the diff are fantastic and i love it. i really hate having to hit refresh though. please update 💛” [source](https://twitter.com/732783174166536192/status/2100747787709071631)
- Claude Code, 2026-09-04, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs release new diff feature... now diff is broken... sigh...” [source](https://twitter.com/34473211/status/2095961577749090521)

### 11. Screenshots or videos attached to PRs

- Claude Code, 2026-10-05, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “perhaps integrating a screen capture feature for a slowed down playback of the process might help ease the review.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1wycbbr/i_built_a_terminal_where_you_can_watch_claude/pe1garz/)
- Cursor, 2026-10-05, @cursor_ai (X): “@tdinh_me @cursor_ai cloud agent doing qa screenshots on every pr is crazy. i want that” [source](https://twitter.com/813021076393443328/status/2107136894714933380)

### 12. Code navigation and context in diff view

- OpenCode, 2026-10-11, @opencode (X): “@vimtor @opencode @jlongster let me jump from a changed line to the surrounding function without losing my place in the diff. that's the kind of small interaction that makes review feel like coding.” [source](https://twitter.com/1963738656923160576/status/2109372612401053878)
- Amp, 2026-10-01, @AmpCode (X): “@ampcode @sqs @thorstenball what doesn't scale is rebuilding context. the reviewer reads the diff, then hunts down who calls the changed function and what else breaks. if the pr came with that blast radius attached, review could start from the risk, not the diff.” [source](https://twitter.com/2074603585975771136/status/2105636576994959607)
- OpenCode, 2026-09-25, @opencode (X): “@badlogicgames i think this is something which is missing from all ai tools like @opencode desktop and @ampcode i want to review/read the code with lsp and code navigation. all of them just shows git diff only” [source](https://twitter.com/1158785224299335680/status/2103409717959705080)

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur. Posts that touch the fewest criteria come first, then posts of at most 280 characters, then the newest. A second large language model reads the first 3 candidates per slot and keeps a post only if it clearly praises, or clearly complains about, the agent on that criterion. Links and personal details removed by the source show as marks such as [link].

### Cursor

- Praise, 2026-10-15, r/cursor (Reddit): “the diff navigation is the one thing i'd miss too, that's basically the only reason i still open cursor” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x3r2hw/anyone_still_using_cursor_next_to_claude_code/pgtt5lm/)
- Praise, 2026-10-14, r/cursor (Reddit): “if there was an inline diff extension (not a diff tab, but cursor like inline diff), i would switch back to vs code today.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x57zof/comment/pgosle8/)
- Praise, 2026-10-13, r/cursor (Reddit): “same reason i still keep cursor around honestly, i mostly go there to look at the diff and check what claude actually changed. what's the part you miss most in the vs code extension?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x3r2hw/anyone_still_using_cursor_next_to_claude_code/pgfqo1l/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-09, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai does anyone at cursor actually use the “changes → commits” diff viewer in agents view? it’s completely broken and unusable.. selecting a single commit is a cat-and-mouse game of toggling select/deselect all before you can pick one.” [source](https://twitter.com/2844870331/status/2108630415896371464)

### Zed

- Praise, 2026-10-07, @zeddotdev (X): “thanks @zeddotdev for the awesome acp merch 🎉! 9 months after i hacked it together, a @langchain deep agent + acp adapter + zed is still my daily driver coding agent. reviewing code as the agent works with worktrees is peak ux! wrote about it here: [link] [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/951957900/status/2107866835379270000)

- Complaint, 2026-10-05, r/ZedEditor (Reddit): “a good ux for reviewing prs and changes. they are so hardcore about ai integrations, but they dump all changes agents made to your face in a single page. i would honestly just copy what gh pr extension for vscode does.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZedEditor/comments/1wydtin/gimme_your_gripes/pe21n3o/)

### Google Antigravity

- Praise, 2026-09-28, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “i want what ag ide offers: per edit viewing, like you directly select the edits file from prompted changed files and you see the code i don't think i saw that in claude (which i used way back with an api powered model)” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wqme6m/wtf_is_going_on/pcjgd98/)
- Praise, 2026-10-05, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “agy ide is so needed rn the extension makes it hard to see the changed lines and the agy ide keeps it super simple. you might not understand what i mean but in case of ide, you see changed files, you can click on them and do next next next to see multiple changes in the same file, approve or reject them and very easily switch changed files.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wy3xmf/whats_the_point_of_antigravity_ide/pdzc941/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-14, @antigravity (X): “i always ran into the same bottleneck using antigravity 2.0: i ended up opening vs code or another ide just to clearly see the git pending tasks and manage the repo. i decided to solve this at the root by creating an extension: the git & github hub. 🧵👇@antigravity [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/66012464/status/2110410673360683327)
- Complaint, 2026-09-26, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “same. hard to track changes in vs code with the ag extension and alarmingly, the only good ide ag ide is now no longer showing changed files either. i must track it via git changes. well...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wqlqcg/bug_generated_file_changes_disappear_after/pc6vbqr/)

### OpenAI Codex

- Praise, 2026-09-25, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@theo switched back yesterday. opus 5.5 needs way less correcting and the usage feels generous. what i miss is the codex app for reviewing changes. a terminal is still a rough place to read diffs.” [source](https://twitter.com/1773624715547922432/status/2103391407570624592)

### Claude Code

### GitHub Copilot

- Praise, 2026-10-01, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “what i really really really like as a software dev is that copilot shows me the \*exact\* changes it did this prompt. separat of git, versioning, commits, and everything. it makes tracking the changes so much easier and i have not seen that anywhere else” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wut85y/why_use_github_copilot_after_the_nerf/pd71b9j/)

### Amp

- Praise, 2026-10-11, @AmpCode (X): “more bullish on @ampcode by the minute. it's supplying before/after screenshots, and inline interactive windows allowing you to check it's work right within the chat. here i am testing out a change to a tui demo app inline. ### Devin

- Praise, 2026-09-15, @cognition (X): “@cognition testflight link plus screen recording is the useful part. you can inspect what the agent built before trusting the handoff” [source](https://twitter.com/2032890486571372544/status/2099897386696860149)
- Complaint, 2026-09-10, r/windsurf (Reddit): “is there any chance we can get this feature in devin? cascade handle it wonderfully, but now devin does not. the notebook\_edit tool was the feature that showed proposed changes in line in a jupyter notebook. this was incredibly useful when running large notebooks. now devin can only directly modify a cell, without showing me the proposed changes. makes tracking the changes so much harder now.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/windsurf/comments/1wc55gv/notebook_edit_too_in_devin_local/)
- Complaint, 2026-09-22, @cognition (X): “@cognition the larger diffs are the real dealbreaker for me. an agent that quietly refactors files you didn't touch is worse than a weaker model that stays in lane. review overhead eats the capability gain fast.” [source](https://twitter.com/1657001685343178753/status/2102261697490923528)

### Cline

- Complaint, 2026-09-20, @cline (X): “@cline right now, i can only see the code changes by clicking the line numbers, which shows additions/deletions in the top-right. a proper code editor with a clear diff view would make the agent workflow much better.” [source](https://twitter.com/1874710292577292288/status/2101765049316421672)

- Praise, 2026-10-18, @conductor_build (X): “@conductor_build displays those comments in a dedicated 'checks' tab in the sidebar pretty neat [link] [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1684179983307247616/status/2111869305910600158)
- Praise, 2026-10-18, @conductor_build (X): “one neat feature in @conductor_build that i've not see in any other harnesses is review comments as first class citizens so when i reviewed in tab 2 using 6.1 sol, when i view tab 1 (opus 5.5) again, i can selectively add the review comments to the tab 1 chat, to inform opus [link] [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1684179983307247616/status/2111868926284173663)
- Praise, 2026-10-09, @conductor_build (X): “if you use opencode, this is the best upgrade i’ve found: run it through @conductor_build. conductor gives each task its own isolated workspace and branch, with the chat, terminal, diff, checks, and pr in one place. agents don’t step on each other, and you can review exactly what changed before anything reaches github. same coding agent. much better way to manage the work.” [source](https://twitter.com/14790235/status/2108548875036639583)

### Warp

- Praise, 2026-09-12, @warpdotdev (X): “@warpdotdev remote-control plus the code review panel in the same shell is what sells it. i want the agent session where i already type, not in a second window.” [source](https://twitter.com/1894226409356496903/status/2098610214651982320)
