Amp, Claude Code and OpenCode rank high on mobile and remote control. Their users describe phone apps that pick up a running job, juggle sessions across devices and let them keep working away from the desk. The criterion is the 21st most rated of 63, at 1.7% of what users rate. Amp users rate it 3.38 times as often as other users. OpenAI Codex ranks low, last of 7, and its users write 44% of the category's complaints here.

### What separates the best from the rest

Users of the leading agents describe remote control as part of a normal day. They start a job on one machine, close the laptop and carry on from the phone, and they praise the iOS apps. OpenAI Codex users describe remote access they cannot rely on. Sessions do not connect, the app lags on Android, remote control is missing for CLI sessions, and two remote features conflict so only one works at a time. Several of these users name Claude Code as the agent that does it better.

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. The largest failure mode is a mobile client that connects but falls short of the desktop. Users call it laggy and buggy, and say it lacks diffs, voice mode or easy interrupts. It accounts for 20% of complaining user-weeks, mostly from OpenAI Codex, Claude Code and Cursor users. Three modes come mostly from OpenAI Codex: connections that drop or fail to pair (51%), remote control missing from some surfaces (63%) and sessions that do not sync across devices (62%).

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur.
