Amp and Devin lead on cloud sessions. Their users describe hosted machines that do work their laptops cannot, and some say they now do most of their development there. The topic draws 1.2% of what users rate, the 37th most rated of 63 criteria. Claude Code and OpenAI Codex rank low. Their users describe cloud sandboxes that cannot do the job, connections that drop and work that will not move back to the laptop. Claude Code users write 34% of the category's complaints here, and OpenAI Codex users write 31%.

### What separates the best from the rest

Users of Amp and Devin describe the cloud as a main reason to use the product. Devin users describe a cloud Mac with more memory than their laptop. Amp users describe running workspaces from an iPad and sharing them with a team. Cloud sessions make up 12.9% of what Amp users rate, against 2.1% for users of other agents. Claude Code and OpenAI Codex users describe the cloud as an add-on to a local tool. ## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

The largest mode is a cloud machine that lacks what the work needs, such as network access or macOS builds. Being pushed into cloud-only use is close behind, and each accounts for 16% of complaining user-weeks. Two modes belong mostly to one agent. Claude Code users write 67% of complaints that cloud runs use up plan limits or credits with unclear billing. OpenAI Codex users write 45% of complaints about sessions that stall, vanish or will not resume.

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur.
