Claude Code and Google Antigravity rank high on quota resets. Their users describe bonus resets that refill a spent allowance, and Claude Code users add that a reset does not move their weekly reset date. Resets are the 6th most rated criterion for AI coding agents, and 82.2% of rated user-weeks are complaints. OpenAI Codex ranks low, last of 5. Its users rate resets 12.28 times as often as other users and write 71% of the category's complaints here. Cursor also ranks low.

### What separates the best from the rest

Users of the two leaders describe resets that add usage. Antigravity users say their quotas refilled without warning during a day of building. Claude Code users describe free resets, and banked resets that doubled their allowance for a week. Codex users describe resets they cannot plan around: a global reset that arrives just after they spent a banked one, or a reset that wipes the allowance they had saved. Cursor users say they get no resets at all, so their usage stays gone until billing renews.

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

The largest mode is resets users cannot plan around. They come without notice, are announced only on social media, or leave users unsure whether the reset is instant or banked. This mode holds 18% of complaining user-weeks. OpenAI Codex users write most of every named mode. Their share is highest in three: bonus resets that wipe saved allowance (86%), banked resets that vanish or won't apply (87%), and the agent spending banked resets without asking (90%).

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion.
