# Using an existing subscription across tools (`billing.subscription_portability`)

Feedback Bench, coding agents, built 2026-10-19, window 2026-08-31 to 2026-10-18. Web page: https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/#/criterion/billing.subscription_portability

Area: [Paying and limits](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/criteria/paying.md)

**Definition.** Whether a paid subscription from one vendor can be used inside another agent or harness, or used as an API outside the vendor's own app.

**Boundary.** Not this: see [Connecting own API keys, local models and custom endpoints](https://feedbackbench.com/coding-agents/criteria/setup.provider_byok_local.md) for API keys, local models and custom endpoints.

Rated user-weeks, all agents: 861. Complaint share: 59%.

## The brief

Written by large language models from this page's numbers and the posts it quotes, then checked: every number in the text is in the build. Interpretation, not measurement.

OpenAI Codex leads this criterion because users say OpenAI lets them take a paid plan into other tools. Amp, OpenCode and Pi also rank high. Users describe all three as harnesses where they sign in with a subscription they already pay for. The topic draws 1.0% of what users rate, the 43rd most rated of 63 criteria. When users do rate it, they mostly complain: 58.9% of rated user-weeks are complaints. Claude Code, Cursor and Google Antigravity rank low. Claude Code users write 22% of the category's complaints here, more than users of any other agent.

### What separates the best from the rest

Users of the top agents describe a plan that goes with them. They sign in to Amp, OpenCode or Pi with a ChatGPT or Claude subscription and use it there, and they praise OpenAI for allowing this. Users of the bottom agents describe plans tied to one app. Claude Code users say Anthropic took the agent SDK off subscriptions and has not made clear what is allowed. Google Antigravity users say Google bans use of its plan outside its own app. Cursor users say their X premium plan does not carry over to Cursor.

 - Google Antigravity, 2026-10-12, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “the models are fine, it's just antigravity that sucks. it's a shame google banned use of oauth outside their apps.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1x33an3/unpopular_opinion_90_of_the_hate_toward_google/pfdn99n/)

## How it breaks

Rule: A separate pass sorts complaints into failure modes. For each criterion with at least 30 complaining user-weeks, a large language model reads 150 complaint posts drawn at random and names 4 to 8 failure modes; a second large language model then puts every complaint post on that criterion in one mode, or in Other when it fits none. Modes are fixed once named, and new posts are sorted into them each week. A mode counts distinct user-weeks with a complaint in it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Modes do not change the labels or the Feedback Score. Examples: up to 3 posts per mode from different users, chosen and checked as receipts are.

The largest failure mode is a vendor limiting its plan to its own app or CLI. It accounts for 24% of complaining user-weeks. Claude Code users write 37% of it and Google Antigravity users 21%. Complaints about sister products that need separate plans come mostly from Cursor users, at 68% of that mode. Amp users write 28% of complaints about harnesses that offer no subscription sign-in.

514 complaining user-weeks.

| Failure mode | User-weeks | Posts | Agents (user-weeks) | Definition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription restricted to vendor's own client | 123 | 125 | Claude Code 46, Google Antigravity 26, OpenAI Codex 14, OpenCode 12, Pi 11, Amp 7, Cursor 5, Devin 1, Factory 1 | The vendor's terms or enforcement allow a paid plan only in its own app or CLI, and using it in third-party harnesses is forbidden or risks an account ban; this excludes harnesses that simply haven't built support yet. |
| Third-party harness lacks subscription sign-in support | 74 | 78 | Amp 21, Cursor 9, Claude Code 8, Pi 8, Factory 7, OpenAI Codex 6, Zed 4, Google Antigravity 3, Devin 3, OpenCode 3, GitHub Copilot 2 | An agent or IDE offers no way to link a subscription the user already pays for (for example, an editor that won't accept an OpenAI or Claude plan), even when the vendor doesn't forbid it; this excludes vendor-imposed bans. |
| Sister products with separate, non-unified plans | 59 | 63 | Cursor 40, OpenAI Codex 7, Google Antigravity 6, Claude Code 2, OpenCode 2, Amp 1, Factory 1 | Products owned by the same company or linked together (such as an IDE and a chatbot after a merger, or a chat app and a coding agent) need separate subscriptions or accounts, with usage, credits, or upgrades that can't be shared or merged; this excludes plans from unrelated vendors. |
| Connected subscription bills credits, not plan quota | 54 | 55 | Claude Code 14, Devin 9, OpenAI Codex 8, Amp 7, OpenCode 6, Cursor 5, Pi 4, Google Antigravity 1 | A user signs in with their subscription inside another tool, but usage is charged as API, pay-as-you-go, or top-up credits instead of drawing on the plan's included allowance; this excludes cases where the sign-in itself fails. |
| Multiple subscriptions or accounts can't be pooled | 50 | 55 | OpenAI Codex 15, Cursor 11, Claude Code 10, Amp 6, Google Antigravity 4, OpenCode 3, Devin 1 | Users can't combine several subscriptions, or switch between accounts for different clients, inside one session or harness, which forces manual juggling across apps; this excludes cases where only a single subscription is involved. |
| Plan cannot be used as a general API | 46 | 46 | Claude Code 12, OpenCode 10, OpenAI Codex 9, Google Antigravity 5, Cursor 4, Amp 1, Cline 1, GitHub Copilot 1, Devin 1, Factory 1, Pi 1 | A subscription comes with no API key or general-purpose endpoint, so it can't power scripts, proxies, or arbitrary clients outside the supported ones; this excludes cases where a specific named harness is blocked. |
| Previously working subscription integration suddenly breaks | 38 | 39 | Claude Code 8, OpenCode 8, Amp 7, Pi 6, Cursor 4, OpenAI Codex 2, Google Antigravity 1, Cline 1, Devin 1 | A subscription that used to work in an outside harness stops working, through revoked access, auth failures, or quiet policy changes, often with little or no warning; this excludes integrations that never worked. |
| Extra paid tier required to use existing subscription | 24 | 25 | Cursor 8, Devin 4, OpenAI Codex 3, Amp 2, Claude Code 2, Cline 1, Factory 1, OpenCode 1, Pi 1, Zed 1 | A harness makes users buy its own paid plan, or keep a subscription active, before they can connect an outside subscription or spend credits they already have; this excludes integrations that are free to set up but bill per use. |
| Other | 54 | 56 | Claude Code 16, OpenAI Codex 13, Devin 6, OpenCode 6, Google Antigravity 5, Amp 3, Cursor 3, Pi 2 | Complaints that fit none of the modes above. |

#### Subscription restricted to vendor's own client

- Pi, 2026-10-13, @pidotdev (X): “if @anthropicai allows third parties to use your claude code subscription then why am i still running into problems with @pidotdev? [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1705180711756701696/status/2109840612971438539)

- Claude Code, 2026-10-09, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “not that much if you already have a setup where you (can) run parallel sessions. also using claude sub in herdr through other harness is a bit risky because anthropic isn't exactly clear if that's ok or not.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x18t52/just_fucking_love_herdr/peutsvj/)

#### Third-party harness lacks subscription sign-in support

- Cursor, 2026-10-12, @cursor_ai (X): “@krystiangebis @cursor_ai cursor still forces you to use their harness & subscription the best solution for cloud agents is cloudroom, which lets you use any model, any harness, any subscription” [source](https://twitter.com/1648699406760255488/status/2109507828822204477)

#### Connected subscription bills credits, not plan quota

- Devin, 2026-10-18, @cognition (X): “@scarletkc @cognition there is a bug with the gpt subscription. sometimes, using gpt fails directly and consumes the quota, possibly limited to using the gpt subscription only.” [source](https://twitter.com/2098049380192583680/status/2111635796671463565)

#### Plan cannot be used as a general API

- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-17, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@reinierbutot did we last time talk about opencode go sub or was that something else? i don't remember. opencode sub apparently cannot be used in codex app which sucks.” [source](https://twitter.com/42859747/status/2111371655960498309)
- Cline, 2026-10-15, @cline (X): “wanted to use my $9.99 clinepass subscription directly inside opencode and custom scripts instead of being locked to a single client. so i reversed the protocol and built clinepass bridge a local proxy that turns @cline api into a drop-in openai compatible endpoint linked down” [source](https://twitter.com/1956608648840429568/status/2110824520886129097)

#### Previously working subscription integration suddenly breaks

- Claude Code, 2026-10-08, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “well they just took the agent sdk off sub so don't be sucking their dick just yet. i'm pretty mad about this given it's what my whole fucking custom harness is based on, and i'm sure many other peoples.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x14awk/maybe_the_mods_here_wont_get_so_butthurt_like_the/peqb521/)

#### Extra paid tier required to use existing subscription

- Devin, 2026-10-10, @cognition (X): “@cognition damn, are you an idiot? does the link still require a devin membership? am i brain-dead? use your harness? do you think your harness is outstanding?” [source](https://twitter.com/2015715504904933376/status/2108847727673323857)

## Top requests

What users ask to add or change, most asked first. 639 user-weeks ask for something. Requests do not change the Feedback Score. Rule: A separate pass by a large language model reads every counted post and extracts what the user asks the agent or its vendor to add or change, with the criteria it maps to and a short normalised wording; it does not touch the labels or the Feedback Score. A large language model groups the wordings within each criterion (the first criterion the request maps to) into themes, and a second pass merges themes that ask for the same change under different criteria; a merged theme sits under the criterion most of its requests map to, and code counts it once. A theme counts distinct user-weeks that ask for it, per agent; across agents, one user-week per agent. Themes asked in fewer than 2 user-weeks, and requests that share no theme, are not shown. Examples: up to 3 posts per theme from different users, without slurs: whole posts of 60 to 450 characters with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, posts of at most 280 characters first, then the newest.

- Claude Code, 2026-10-13, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “x5 higher 5hr limits ... way higher fable $100 monthly api credit to use outside of claude harness oh... and you don't need to manage 5 accs” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x59gae/claude_max_5x_vs_5_claude_pro_accounts/pgkt7ah/)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-08, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs @ericbuess why can’t we get that with our subscription? why does this need to go through a separate api? why are you making agent building so difficult? and when are we getting a system one model?” [source](https://twitter.com/1176480091250909184/status/2108339049836757111)

### 7. Multiple subscriptions active at once

- Amp, 2026-10-14, @AmpCode (X): “@jeremylangevin9 @ampcode @thorstenball @sqs +1, i wouldn't mind this as well. or maybe subscription selector within the dial itself” [source](https://twitter.com/2000470921329709056/status/2110301031821099435)
- Amp, 2026-10-12, @AmpCode (X): “@sqs @ampcode really appreciate your active support here on x 1. understood, make sense. and there is also no "workaround" like a "community plugin system" ? 😂 2. would be amazing to use dial with the subs” [source](https://twitter.com/3352891385/status/2109749435269869609)
- Amp, 2026-10-12, @AmpCode (X): “i love that @ampcode now supports claude! one request, @thorstenball and @sqs is there any chance that project-based connections is a thing coming soon? (work vs play ai subs based on project settings).” [source](https://twitter.com/1405835361021042691/status/2109653765561504200)

### 8. Subscription pricing instead of pay-per-use API

- Claude Code, 2026-10-16, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs @grok can i use it on max plan? is it possible to set up and wether it can be based on the subscription rather credits?” [source](https://twitter.com/1577258060464144384/status/2110969765317718269)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-08, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs it would be great if the subscription could also enjoy the same benefits.” [source](https://twitter.com/1267013792283586561/status/2108326343452799430)
- Google Antigravity, 2026-09-30, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “deepseek cant be subbed.... (unless with opencode) i wish they would allow us to” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wtqvv2/does_this_mean_our_monthly_usage_in_our_ai_pro/pcydw0q/)

### 9. Monthly API credits included in plan

- Cursor, 2026-10-13, r/cursor (Reddit): “yeah i ended my cursor membership just now until they bring back the api quota, i may get another sub for claude. i have never tried codex tho, do you recommend it?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x4wuaf/if_there_is_not_api_quota_then_there_is_no_reason/pghtu9y/)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-09, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs directly incorporate api credits into subscriptions, reflecting that model usage is shifting from "occasional calls" to team-level infrastructure. next, users will compare not just model capabilities, but also how many real tasks can be accomplished per unit budget.” [source](https://twitter.com/487385967/status/2108372532210577700)
- Claude Code, 2026-10-08, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs the api credits inside max and team are the bigger deal here. setting up a separate api bill is what kept a lot of people from running agents on a schedule.” [source](https://twitter.com/1214840989753528320/status/2108324767791190199)

### 10. Portable context and workflows across vendors

- Amp, 2026-10-01, @AmpCode (X): “@chorch_md @fprzdev @ampcode i tried to migrate to amp but i can't connect my subscriptions to them, that's my limitation.” [source](https://twitter.com/1817446992768880640/status/2105675117858558243)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-10-01, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “just for grok not i am wanting to shift to cursor ecosystem but codex app interface is not letting me do that [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1729126603160981504/status/2105460532899971297)
- OpenAI Codex, 2026-09-20, r/codex (Reddit): “the only thing i’m missing with claude desktop is a convenient way to transfer sessions to another sub. anyone know a good way to do this?” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wkw3u4/codex_is_done/paxchou/)

### 11. Grok subscription usable inside Cursor

- Cursor, 2026-10-14, @cursor_ai (X): “@cursor_ai i wish we could have used it with the new x premium pass - like it was before with standalone cursor sub.” [source](https://twitter.com/1013749216387256322/status/2110221339453964393)
- Cursor, 2026-10-08, @cursor_ai (X): “@elonmusk @brianroemmele @grok @bot confusion around @bot subscription and @cursor_ai subscription? why can't my supergrok heavy sub use cloud agents without an extra cursor subscription on top?” [source](https://twitter.com/875191517039558656/status/2108054077129252876)
- Cursor, 2026-10-02, @cursor_ai (X): “grok needs a harness. i pay for grok superheavy and cursor. cursor is great, but i should be able to plug my grok subscription into it, or use it with a proper harness. grok build is nice, but it's not close to codex or any real harness yet. @xai @cursor_ai” [source](https://twitter.com/854719028761374721/status/2106103320444346444)

### 12. Single bundled plan across AI providers

- Cursor, 2026-10-08, r/cursor (Reddit): “ah okay, guess i’m getting that then. i would like grol access etc and claude but don’t want to buy both. :/” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/comments/1x0hq6q/im_getting_my_200s_worth_this_month/peo03l7/)
- Cursor, 2026-10-07, @cursor_ai (X): “@jordan_rk @grok @cursor_ai just needs to be unified 1 subscriptions all the things” [source](https://twitter.com/1553888707/status/2107653450393637182)
- Cursor, 2026-10-01, @cursor_ai (X): “can my @cursor_ai pro+ account cover my super @grok & @bot and @x premium please? :)” [source](https://twitter.com/2033303047686987776/status/2105750122131042516)

## Posts

Receipts rule: Up to 5 praise and 5 complaint posts per area and 3 per criterion. Each is a whole post of 60 to 450 characters (700 for areas) with at least 8 words beyond handles and links, that judges the criterion, whose labels are all praise or all complaint, and that contains no slur. Posts that touch the fewest criteria come first, then posts of at most 280 characters, then the newest. A second large language model reads the first 3 candidates per slot and keeps a post only if it clearly praises, or clearly complains about, the agent on that criterion. Links and personal details removed by the source show as marks such as [link].

### OpenAI Codex

- Praise, 2026-10-01, r/codex (Reddit): “openai is still the only one among big 3 offering third-party tool access to their subscription plan. for that alone, i'll stay a little longer.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wv3pew/honestly_everything_about_openai_lately_has_been/pd8kv0t/)
- Praise, 2026-09-30, r/codex (Reddit): “this cross harness functionality restriction with claude was actually what pushed me to openai in the first place. glad they are sticking with this policy. if they ever remove it, i may just have to switch to claude code and get back on the opus train...” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wtspqv/will_openai_forbid_subscription_usage_in/pczftsb/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-17, X search: OpenAI Codex, Codex CLI, Codex app (X): “@reinierbutot did we last time talk about opencode go sub or was that something else? i don't remember. opencode sub apparently cannot be used in codex app which sucks.” [source](https://twitter.com/42859747/status/2111371655960498309)

### Amp

- Praise, 2026-10-15, @AmpCode (X): “@what_the_func i'm loving @ampcode and can use codex and claude subs in it” [source](https://twitter.com/1149900841962237952/status/2110663969572814951)
- Praise, 2026-10-13, @AmpCode (X): “not being able to use our @openai or @claudeai subscriptions is @cursor_ai is the biggest blocker for me like no way am i going to spend $4,000 usd on api credits through cursor when i can use my subscription in @ampcode for $300/mo pls @poteto work your magic” [source](https://twitter.com/1788108425400123392/status/2109845059835412587)
- Praise, 2026-10-11, @AmpCode (X): “@m4kamran008 @ampcode @claudeai you can now use claude subs with amp. and codex was already there. so codex and claude both with amp. amazing, no?” [source](https://twitter.com/1449498000/status/2109391689270108436)
- Complaint, 2026-10-14, @AmpCode (X): “amp gives me a new coding experience, but why does it still incur costs when i use my own subscription and runner? @ampcode [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/2293726776/status/2110193950162383317)
- Complaint, 2026-10-03, @AmpCode (X): “so there a new "subscription_sharing_usage_limit_exceeded" when using chatgpt in @ampcode now? dude, this is worth the legacy connection, can we get it back @sqs ?” [source](https://twitter.com/111345958/status/2106389057513406701)
- Complaint, 2026-10-03, @AmpCode (X): “@nicomlopez @tebayoso @ampcode yes, but only grok and codex, claude must be through api and i have another subscription that also does not allow placing it.” [source](https://twitter.com/1817446992768880640/status/2106458414624682168)

### OpenCode

- Praise, 2026-10-09, @opencode (X): “@zeeg apps from the labs are pretty bad imo. only reason i use gpt models is that the sub can be used with other harnesses like @ampcode / @opencode” [source](https://twitter.com/1079733008/status/2108429017590419945)
- Praise, 2026-10-05, r/OpenAI (Reddit): “i might be wrong but claude doesn't let you log in with your sub into whatever tool? i have an openai sub and i never used the codex/chatgpt app, i just login with my account into opencode and/or proxy the sub to whatever harness.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/OpenAI/comments/1wy2h4d/are_you_planning_to_cancel_your_chatgpt_plus/pdz3gkf/)
- Praise, 2026-09-21, r/codex (Reddit): “agreed, done some post mortem on some tasks and even on my case, on subagents, codex harness is making poll request every one second. i've moved to using opencode with openai subscription and things seem a little better, but i haven't run any measurement” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1wlcy5q/this_will_save_your_usage/pb7qsrv/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-15, @opencode (X): “@jayqinqt @opencode uh. do you know how to use open code go in pi? i just don't understand why flash free can only be used in open code agent. confusing behavior.” [source](https://twitter.com/1580473393589387264/status/2110756358664700302)

### Pi

- Praise, 2026-10-09, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “i just use my anthropic sub through pi…done it for months with heavy usages after they “paused” the restriction on sub usage from third party apps and have not had a single issue. will report back if i ever get banned” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1x1ew1s/use_claude_code_to_delegate_jobs_to_pi/peulwqs/)
- Praise, 2026-10-06, r/PiCodingAgent (Reddit): “i used pi with both my chatgpt and claude subscriptions no issues, anthropic's recently been pulling back on this if you look at what hermes just announced, they have official integration now.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiCodingAgent/comments/1wykxe7/claude_sub_with_pi/pe4j4ve/)
- Praise, 2026-10-02, @pidotdev (X): “@mattlam_ @coding_jam @pidotdev can also confirm the bridge is working very well for me for as long as anthropic doesn’t go back to pulling agentsdk out of subscriptions” [source](https://twitter.com/83319254/status/2106140408610771259)
- Complaint, 2026-10-13, @pidotdev (X): “if @anthropicai allows third parties to use your claude code subscription then why am i still running into problems with @pidotdev? [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/1705180711756701696/status/2109840612971438539)

- Complaint, 2026-10-07, @pidotdev (X): “what is currently the best way to use @pidotdev with claude subscription? - pi-claude-bridge should be ok, but uses claude code bloat - things like pi-anthropic-auth (trying to mask as claude code) are against tos - api is too expensive sucks.” [source](https://twitter.com/1116441589012934657/status/2107732487795335390)

### Google Antigravity

- Praise, 2026-10-01, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “i use antifravity to call claude models through my subscription. might violate tos. but i use gemini to ingest all of the tokens and summarize the request and hand all of the implementation to claude. i have 2 claude accounts and it’s able to switch accounts when runs out without having to stop and switch accounts and re do the initial review” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wv01z2/setup_tips_for_using_google_pro_and_claude_pro/pd90gz5/)

- Complaint, 2026-09-27, r/google_antigravity (Reddit): “google needs to remove the restriction of using google ai subscription only inside agy otherwise you get banned. gemini 3.8 is good but agy is kinda shitty would be cool to use the model in something like opencode” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1wrh0mx/gemini_38_in_alternative_harnesses/pcd2rek/)

### Claude Code

- Praise, 2026-10-10, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs nice timing. as a max user building apps, this covers the api side for my prototypes without a separate bill. thank you !” [source](https://twitter.com/1690137505499111424/status/2108970462814343303)
- Praise, 2026-10-08, @ClaudeDevs (X): “@claudedevs this is great for anyone running their own harness. i'd been keeping a separate api bill just for the side scripts around my claude code setup.” [source](https://twitter.com/1490950408272896085/status/2108008237941600493)
- Complaint, 2026-10-09, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “not that much if you already have a setup where you (can) run parallel sessions. also using claude sub in herdr through other harness is a bit risky because anthropic isn't exactly clear if that's ok or not.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x18t52/just_fucking_love_herdr/peutsvj/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-08, r/ClaudeCode (Reddit): “well they just took the agent sdk off sub so don't be sucking their dick just yet. i'm pretty mad about this given it's what my whole fucking custom harness is based on, and i'm sure many other peoples.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/comments/1x14awk/maybe_the_mods_here_wont_get_so_butthurt_like_the/peqb521/)

### GitHub Copilot

- Praise, 2026-10-13, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “big companies can get api prices only. it cost me exactly the same to use anthropic models via claude enterprise subscription and via copilot, and copilot != vs code, i only use claude code and copilot cli, but yes, it is easier to use copilot subscription with different harnesses, with claude you'll need to jump over more hoops if you want different harness and risk a ban if you use subsidized subscription” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1x50lgx/can_github_copilot_compete_with_the_likes_of/pgifshs/)
- Praise, 2026-09-27, r/GithubCopilot (Reddit): “get a claude or chatgpt pro sub then proxy it into copilot via byok to use the harness. i keep a copilot sub also for adversarial review (like pair gpt with a claude to argue), copilot code review on prs, and overages.” [source](https://www.reddit.com/r/GithubCopilot/comments/1wr5io2/best_cheaper_alternative/pc9tpgy/)
- Complaint, 2026-10-10, @GitHubCopilot (X): “@orenme @iambipinpaul @github @githubcopilot even if we're accepted in the cyber program with anthropic, you need generate an api key associated with the cyber program to use it. it works in github copilot app with byok, but then we can't use the claude subscription. for api billing i'd rather just got for glm 5.3 for cyber” [source](https://twitter.com/161137627/status/2108972150745165829)

### Cline

- Praise, 2026-09-17, @cline (X): “both my claude code and codex quotas hit zero. codex ~2 days. claude ~3 days. they are playing us for fools. 😡 @thsottiaux no reset. can't open a new pro. can't even buy a reset. folks. listen. the only thing that kept my agent still alive was @cline plugging into my codex. ($10/m with free models) this will save your live: [link]” [source](https://twitter.com/3704278520/status/2100654287395434909)
- Complaint, 2026-10-15, @cline (X): “wanted to use my $9.99 clinepass subscription directly inside opencode and custom scripts instead of being locked to a single client. so i reversed the protocol and built clinepass bridge a local proxy that turns @cline api into a drop-in openai compatible endpoint linked down” [source](https://twitter.com/1956608648840429568/status/2110824520886129097)
